Thats why it´s called alpha…
Now i get 30-40FPs on a full server (for example in BF3 i get stable 80FPS).
I hope the performance&netcode gets fixed soon, so we can start finetuning the game.
I am currently haing FPS issues also. Was thinking of buying the nvidea gtx 660 ti. Anyone had any exp with this product?
sorry, I should have stated this better, I’m looking for some guidance to getting more FPS as I’m unfamiliar with unreal configs, any adults about ?

Here you get basic info for tweaking.
In “ShooterEngine.ini” (opened with simple text-programs) you can change several settings. Here we have some descriptions for further tweaking.
thanks, got the ones from here, I’m just greedy, I have a feeling my 70 will drop on a full server
and I know what alphas are, I been here a while
More fps than your screen refresh rate in unreal engine based games is useless, although many people here will say that they can feel a difference.
http://forums.warchest.com/showthread.php/34810-Low-GFX-config Not sure if the config is totally right. Did mine manually.
\DirtyBomb\Published\Content\ShooterGame\Config ShooterEngine.ini
Find [SystemSettings] and set most graphical options to False or 0.
Set LODBias to 3 on everything (for example TEXTUREGROUP_World=(MinLODSize=256,MaxLODSize=2048,LODBias=3,MinMagFilter=Aniso,MipFilter=Point,MipGenSettings=TMGS_SimpleAverage))
Set DetailMode to 0.
Search for bSmoothFrameRate and set to True. Then set the min and max values below it. Should help somewhat. These commands show up twice in the text file. Not sure which one is supposed to be used. Maybe someone else knows.
That’s all that I personally know.

I thought that was your age hahaha. You must be on a low resoultion screen? I wouldn’t have expected that much from your rig.
Thanks, that’s the stuff I need
so cap at 60 ?
If that is the refresh rate of your screen. Here is a link to some usefull tweaks, although it’s for unreal tournament 3.

My E8500@3.8 rig got around 80fps on 6player and 45fps on 16player so do expect similar drops. You can tweak gfx options quite a bit, but relieving a cpu bottleneck is next to impossible.
I cap at 60 because it seems much smoother when on a full server. I have similar specs and it stays pretty much at 60 when using the low settings option from the menu - I didn’t bother with the lodbias stuff.
