I have two friends who suddenly started experience FPS lags to the point they cant play the game anymore. As they only play from time to time, it is difficult to exactly pin point when this problem started. But it must have been after the last patch, probably after the last hotfix. They both have decent to high end computers, didnt change anything on their systems, and havent had any problems until now.
Anyone has similar problems, or even better knows a fix for it?
I recently read that one of the more recent(ish) updates flipped how Thread Sync appeared in the Video Settings (i.e. the old OFF is the new ON). Thread Sync from my experience, and the experience of friends of mine, severely effects how well the game runs, causing me to drop from around 250 fps to 30fps. If Thread Sync is already off, then I cant help ya.
@cam and @Charlie Thx a lot for this. One friend already tried it out and it solved the problem. Strange is, that they hadnt changed anything on their settings as far as I know.
In the settings it should be set to off. Honestly, I’m not even sure why it was put in the settings in the first place as even people with an incredibly high end computer should have it set to Off.

i have it on, ON, and have 120 FPS while playing. is putting it on off worth the input lag?
@Herr_Hanz it helped my friends with their terrible fps Lags and the people in this thread recommend setting it to off. Just try it out
true. i play with ping 50 60 full lag. when play in servers usa with 150 ping i dont have lag
