I’ve been trying to get a consistent framerate using this guide and as I altered it I seem to be running slower than normal, as if my GPU isn’t being completely used. Normally I get +100FPS on Medium settings and wanted to cap to 60 to be a solid framerate, but after altering the config as described in the guide I find my FPS dropping down to 30 in fights, even in low settings, which makes my gameplay absolutely awful. As someone who knows little to nothing about this stuff other than what is described to him in guides, I was wondering if anyone could help with this. In Step by Step:
I altered the config as described above and set maxsmoothframes to 60.
When it started dropping to 30 I set the boolean to FALSE again, but the framerate remained to be pretty bad.
After this I discovered V-sync, which I set to ON and pretty much does the same thing without messing with configs, but my FPS still drops to 30, even on low settings. How do I get this back to my normal framerate?
