I’m afraid it didn’t solve much for me (not to say “at all”). Thanks for trying, though.[/quote]
I am sorry to hear that, just realised you are on a laptop?
Not to sound like im insulting your intelligence (unsure of your IT knowledge so forgive me if these feel like n00b tips to you) but maybe check that you are running high performance mode in the power options, not sure which version of windows you are running but it should be in control panel > power options, then something along the lines of power modes high performance, will make the cpu run 100% all the time (might want to switch it though when running on battery)
Also play around with the intel graphics control panel (I think that is the name my memory is failing me) there should be some “performance” modes/options in there if you look around to help when running games might grant you a small performance boost, or it might do nothing but worth a try.
Above all else all i can suggest is disabling everything that does not need to be running, you can use a program called ccleaner and you can disable annoying services that run in the background without your knowledge (Under Tools > Startup) the only thing that really needs to be running is your antivirus, firewall (if you have one), your graphics control panel and maybe at a push your sound drivers (but they run fine even without the bloatware). Any updater checkers for programs like flash/skype/java etc you can switch off, they notify you regardless of the service that is running, itunes helper can definitely go if you use that and so on so on… Since laptop cpu’s are weaker and tend to get bogged down by extra unnecessary processes that do not need to be running it could potentially be affecting your game.
If i come up with anything solid that isn’t just general tips I will post back here and PM you…
What resolution do you play at by-the-by?
