FPS drop after update

(Major_Slapnuts) #21

in advanced video settings, I have almost everything on or on high. if I only want to lower a couple of settings, what would be the most bang for the buck?

Threadsync activated? Try turning it off, but expect your mouse to feel quite slimy after it.

Someone suggested deleting your config file

Have you tried that yet?

Turning all post-processing effects (like shaders/particles) to low or off should help.

(Major_Slapnuts) #24

haven’t checked thread sync yet. I turned the first 4 down in the advanced video menu to medium. I am holding steady at around 144 fps.

this got me confused. There are almost no other threads about a performance drop. How come everybody didn’t experience a significant drop?

(henki000) #27

My performance is better than before. Not much, but better.

(Szakalot) #28

check if this is set to ‘true’ in the shooterengine.ini

bSmoothFrameRate

(Major_Slapnuts) #29

It was set to false.
I changed it.
my max smooth frame rate should be set to something high correct?

(Major_Slapnuts) #30

changing smoothframerate lost me 70fps. I changed it back

I lost my key binds also

(Major_Slapnuts) #32

I tried to rebind my keys and I cant open the console. WTF is going on?

Have to go into settings and turn console back on. They claim people were accidentaly opening it so they disabled it by default

(Major_Slapnuts) #34

I cant find it. where is it located in settings?
