fps are terrible

([Eichel]Käse) #1

my spec:
nvidea gtx 460 oc
6 gb ram
1 tb hardspace
amd phenom x4 955 black edition 4x3,4 ghz

i can play this game with “45” fps on 800x600 and lowest settings … the performance of this game is just terrible

dont come with “get a new pc” this game runs with unreal engine 3 this engine is 9 years old and my pc can run all games of this engine with about 100-200 fps wich actually even look alot better then dirty bomb

I just hope that they’re going to optimize this game as soon as possible cause it’s just pain in the ass.

I’ve got:
amd fx6300 6x 3,5ghz
nvidia gtx 960
8gb ram

I managed to get 100-150 fps with reddit cfg, tho after around 5 minutes of the game my FPS randomly drops to 70-80 and game stutters so hard that it’s just unplayable.

Funny thing that when I set vsync on + 60 fps, game seems to be stable and smooth but after aforementioned situation everything repeats: game stutters but without fps drop.

(Gonna add that temperatures are good and it’s not because of that.)

(suaveJelly) #3

I don’t get your problems.

I have 50-80 FPS normally

i5 4460
750ti

(He1dra) #4

I have the same problem. When I start playing i have constant 144 fps but after 5-10 minutes it feels like below 30 fps when im moving my mouse. Unplayable until it’s fixed.

Ye, I’ve got the exact same problem.

same here fx8320 and gtx 970

I’m starting to think it’s the servers as in too many on one box

I’m getting the same exact problem. Game runs amazingly smooth for about 5 minutes, after that it just stutters and is just generally choppy.

FX8320
GTX 560ti
8GB ram

(enchantingComet) #10

No real problems here, 250fps pretty consistent.
I5 2500k @ 4.3ghz
8gb ram
2x gtx660 sli

The common denominator is people with issues are using amd processors.

Same problem.

i7 2700k

Win 7 64bits

I contacted nexon support with dxdiag and all that, they literally just shrugged it off and never responded. Spectacular game, spectacular support /sarcasm

Pretty much spot on. 95% of the people I’ve seen with this issue have FX processors, I’ve seen a few with Intel CPU’s, though. Hopefully they fix this soon.

Still it’s “good” to see that it’s not only about AMD processors.

(Dwu) #15

i7 3930K / GTX 970, struggling to have 80 fps, Neither cpu or gpu obviously actually gets maxed out. Hopefully there will be some optimization patches coming sooner than later, I can’t see this game getting popular when so many people are getting such bad performance with decent hardware, after all; this game is competing with titles that run 100+ fps on year '95 toaster.

(alertRidge) #16

According to the stream, they are working on optimization updates at the moment.

(Tomme) #17

I also have a 460GTX and an AMD processor, 1090T which is only a tad better, but get very good FPS, 150+. So it is very strange. I do have an very low amount of background processes compared to most people though which might be what is helping me.

I don’t want to come across as patronising but maybe try a good clean up of your system, I would be intrigued in the results

(CCP115) #18

Sorry for the bump, but there are some things I wanna point out.

Firstly, most of the people with the problem have AMD cpus. These generally aren’t very good for gaming, and Intel is more or less better for gaming. Some people also have some intense bottlenecks from the looks of it, but I won’t point out names.

I have:
AMD FX 8320 OC 4.5 GHz
GTX 660

I can run Dirty Bomb at 50-60 frames steady on the highest possible settings, not just the High preset. Someone has previously stated that this game is CPU heavy, so i would recommend either:

Upgrading CPU
Overclocking CPU
Sucking it up until patches come

My overclock gave me a huge performance hit in TF2 and DB, because those two games are fairly CPU intensive. Some people also say they have had issues with Memory Leaks. Not sure what that is specifically, but it does destroy performance after a minute or two.

And even if the game runs on a 9 year old engine doesn’t mean it can’t look good.

(misspo) #19

Every CPU got issue with this game… You can’t play without tweaking the .ini of the game, it’s a shame. ini is for people that want to gain advantage and patatoes pc normaly. Now evey one have to use it to play propely.
@alertRidge
Hi, i hope you heard well and they are not lying :frowning:

(malachiteEternity) #20

I had the same problem as the original poster, in my case it was a playstation type game controller that was plugged in.

Removing the controller instantly restores FPS back to 250, from 5 FPS that it would drop to.
