Yeah, the clipping of the drum mags into the left arm and general weapon/arm distortion are the reason for my choosing 85 rather then 90, still at least I can get close to my preferred setup.
As you say it’d be nice to be able to play with both environment and model FoVs separately. I actually prefer the weapons at a higher FoV than the default, around 80 suits the Euston very well IMO. I don’t like the recent trend in games of giant gun models stuck right up to your nose, this is especially the case with pistols which when you can’t see your forearm just feels wrong to me.
L4D2 had terribly close weapons at release if I recall correctly.
I use adjusted IS on my backup Carb which dramatically lessens the IS zoom effect with the higher FoV. Red dot and with standard IS zoom on the Euston seems ok.
Thanks for sharing your pics man, looks very nice. I prefer one large screen to a surround setup myself (for both gaming and work) hence I went with an Apple 30 inch about 4 years ago. It was pretty expensive at the time (around £1,600 I think) but it’s in constant use all day for work and just excellent for games. By far the best piece of computer hardware I’ve ever purchased, I can’t imagine being without it now. Not to mention that unlike a graphics card a good monitor will (hopefully!!) last you a while :).
(or just 3D Vision)! I would have done that if I had the money, but that would really be expensive. For 3D vision to work I read you need constant 120 FPS (And probably VSync) which would require a monster computer in most games.
