Four mercenary slots instead of three?

It would be great to be able to have a medic, engineer, field ops and combat mercenary. In public matches it can be a problem when you’re short on mercenaries of a particular role because most of the time players make their choices based on what missions they have, not what the team needs.

I personally like this idea. It could, however, go either way: have 4 slots, or keep it as 3 slots, but give us the ability to make multiple squads, that you can swap through in-game depending on the map, role, or your team’s composition.

Not likely, there are purposely 3 selections so you can only use 3 mercs and hopefully chose 3 seperate roles, if there is a role you didn’t bring along, hope someone else brought it because that is a part of the co-operation between players.

This.

The three merc selection was made so that players would have to choose specific classes that they work best in, instead of trying to cover every base for their team. Unfortunately, this isn’t working to 100% capacity since medics are always needed in a loadout.

They need a nerf towards their utility for the team, even if it means adding a cooldown to their defibrillators and increasing Sparks’s cooldowns.

I just use explosive mercs for area denial to carry my team :joy:

I really like this idea.

I always have a medic and an engineer and the third is usually Fragger, Kira, Arty, Stoker or Nader.

what about 5 slots for every class but for example you couldn’t be able to take 2 assaults
