Founders for Beta Players?

So, I know that founders cards will most likely never be made or given out again, but do you think there is a possibility that they will make special “beta” cards, like the founders cards but for the beta players rather than the founders? So they are not founders cards, they are Beta Cards, just an idea…

As long as they don’t make it RNG based (like the Obsidian Phoenix event, that was great), that would be very appreciated.

obsidian’s are the beta cards, they say “beta fighter”. except the phoenix obsidian no idea if it says that.

Founders and Beta cards are already separate though. They both say obsidian but one says founders and the other says beta fighter?

Unless you’re talking about making cards for the open beta players, when the game actually releases. If that’s the case then I highly doubt it, that would be pretty silly.

That would be a terrible idea I reckon. Officially released or not the game is pretty much out. How many thousands play the game now? The cards would be more common than golds and cobalts if every single open beta player was given them.

Fixed it for you. If you mean the Founders player model, then no, if you mean more Beta Fighter cards, with the unique Beta Figter skin, then almost certainly.

You are allowed to have your opinion on facts, but you are not allowed to make the facts up.

@wolvie Those numbers are concurrent numbers. Not actual players. Why do people keep using this? Go look up unique players on SteamDB and you’ll get a much better idea of how many people are currently playing. I’ll give you a hint…it’s in the couple hundreds of thousands. And that’s during a drought of no content/events and no advertising.

I get kind of mad at bad information like this because it legitimately causes people to quit for no reason other than they think the “game is dying QQ” when in reality it’s pretty healthy.

There are Obsidian cards that cover a few different types of cards, such as “Founders” and “Beta Fighters”.

Obsidian cards are basically special event cards, we may do more in the future, but have no plans for one at this current moment.

I will pass the idea along because it might be neat to have some kind of event right before launch that shows how awesome you are for sticking with us.

About the: “There will never be a chance to get the beta fighters again” Does that mean the look + the augments/weapons or does this really mean the looks of them. As they have really unique skins unlike the later Phoenix skin, which is basically a normal skin in red.

That’d still be a reward for playing what is supposed to be a beta. Considering that all obsidian and promo cards should be untradable (as well as all special event cards that appeared prior to the trading release, for speculating reason and stuff that could potentially sink the price of card that are still obtainable), that’s a minor problem. Obsidian Phoenix is probably acquired by half of the playerbase. I never saw any issue with that.

And the founder models are soooo sick. I personally prefer skyhammer, vassili and proxy old models (founders) than the current ones.

Ok, my bad. But still, SteamDB says 177,887 ± 10,019 players in last 2 weeks, but also says that below.

They’d probably have to be bought like the founders one, so not everyone would get it. I mean, I would, but most wouldn’t as it would be like £40 probably. Pretty sure founders was either 60 or 120 (don’t quote me)

Maybe because you are working for them and your opinion is biaised but I don’t know how you can say this game is healthy.

Here you are talking -as steamspy explains- about How many people have actually launched this game in the last two week.
Since I don’t know where you get that those hundred of thousands were unique players so I tried to figure it out myself using simple math with exaggerated numbers:

  • Let’s say Dirty Bomb has 200 servers (8vs8) for each region (EU, US, AU/ASIA)
  • 600*16=9600
  • If we consider those servers are full everyday, everytime during the last 2 weeks
  • 9600*14=134400 this amount can’t be unique players anyway because it would suppose that each day, 9600 new players come in.

We all know that DB don’t have that many servers and even with a rigged statement like that, I can’t reach the ~180.000 players. This number seems to be a mere game launch counter.

Are you still mad about people using concurrent number instead?
