How do you do a poll in the forums, did they take them out?

@Geeky_nerd : Nah bro they didn’t take them out but i think you need to have a Huge amount of Posts or Rep not sure which or how much though, am sure someone else will tell us :wink:

I believe it was changed to require a certain amount of rep points before you could make a poll. We had tons and tons of new players making constant polls that were extremely biased (and no way to edit them) so it’s now reserved for people who have been here longer.

@FireWorks i personally think melee attacks from behind should do more damage and i wanted to know what everyone thought

A: Keep it the same
B: melee attacks from behind deal double damage as normal
c: L Click deals half amount of damge to kill a merc, R Click is an insta-kill

@Geeky_nerd: We used to have a ‘BackStabbers Badge’ too but i can’t remember why that was removed; it was something to do with backstabbing mechanics i think :confused:

It’s a forum reputation thing and not a time here thing. You have 77 rep and apparently the rep requirement is 250. It seems as if some people are willing to post a poll for you if you want though and us mods would have nothing against it at all assuming the poll wasn’t something super biased or repeating other polls.

A long long time ago this was in the game and some people were just running around and backstabbing people with aura and proxy. It was a pretty shitty time and the mechanic got removed for good. I honestly dont want to have a revival of it.

Sorry, but to say but thats playtested and failed.

Whew, good, I already thought that we might see stuff like this :'D

DB’s speed alone makes registering such stuff pretty darn wonky. Spy in TF2, considerably slower game than this, has 180 degree angle for his backstab resulting in hilarious (counterable though) things like stair stabbing where you lure enemy to follow ya to stairs and jump backwards and practically stab top of their head, facestabs due (probably) ping issues and so forth.

In DB such registeration, even just 90 degree angle would be…scary. People move darn fast and lag issues seem to be prevalient already with guns, not wanting to deal with even more bs with people backstabbing me in what I see as my face, but he sees as my back due packetloss or w/e.

You only have 77 rep in that year instead of the required 250. You have to post and gain rep in order to gain poll creation privileges. Your account age has no bearing on your rep score.

Make solid posts that people enjoy and you’ll gain rep pretty quickly.
