How do they work? How am I actually getting points on my profile? Any idea?

You get points on other peoples reactions to your posts(at least for what i know):

Lol +.5?
Insightful+1
Agree+1
Like+1
Disagree+0
Flags -1?

Yes, that’s correct except that a lol gives you one point as well.
I think badges you earn give you points additionally but I’m not sure how many exactly.
