Hello everyone.
We got some exciting news. After a small discussion with Splash Damage, we decided that it was time to revamp the community rules and guidelines. Now that the transition from Nexon to SD and forum transition are done, we needed to put the forum rules up to date to ensure our community to be the greatest of all time. While we don’t want to oppress you with too much rules to learn, you have to expect a lot of changes.
First of all : we like to consider our forums as a place for an elite. We want the forums to reunite the most skilled, well-mannered and dinstinguished people from the DB community. This is why from now on we will start to be a bit more picky and only keep the best of you. Every two weeks, you people will have to vote for the user that we will banned from the community when the vote ends. Each votes last 24 hours. You can vote for up to three persons but only the user with most votes will be banned. Also, for obvious reasons, you can’t vote for moderators, administrators and Splash Damage staff members. People who don’t vote for three sessions straight we be considered inactive and also be banned. This looks like an harsh rule, but if we want to reach our goal of becoming the most lovable community ever, this is a small price to pay.
Now for second great change. Posting links and images on the forums will now become a more exclusive feature. Because we want out forum to have a better mindset, we will restrict the right to post links and images to all users at first. A forum value pack will then come later on. If you buy it, you’ll be able to post images and links as much as you please. Meanwhile, we’re currently working with the forum’s infrastructure to get rid of those. This is why we ask you to not post any images and links until the work is done. Thanks for your cooperation.
For our last great change. We want to know that our community is always behind SD no matter what. Moral support is just something that precious. We want SD to succeed, and we shouldn’t be afraid to show it. This is why we will now declare once per month an official SD appreciation day where people will have to post all of their love to Splash Damage in every single posts, at least three times. Don’t miss that day ! Subjects created this day who aren’t talking about how much you love SD will be removed, as well as any post who aren’t expressing your love. Those would, indeed, be off topic.
With those few rules we also added several minor rules to follow.
- All signatures must be replaced with a real one. This is what signatures are meant for.
- Posts about memes must now be validated by an administrator. Only the classiest memes shall remain.
- Requesting memes on the forums is now forbidden. No more 9gag trash here sir !
- I accept payments in cash.
- Licking screen avatars are now forbidden. Seriously guys, that’s disgusting. Where did that tongue go ?
- Striking F5 on the forums is now forbidden in order to prevent DDOS attacks through too much refresh.
- Fighting about SD is only allowed if it’s to decide who loves SD the most.
- Only idiots read this.
- Optimal posting must be reached. You most post at maximum efficiency !
- Listening to SD’s weekly video update now require users to do a resume of it, just to check if they understood everything.
I have to remind that failing to obey to any of those rules might get you problems… Special kind of problems.
