forcing the engine to render coronas / flares @ demoplayback

Hi, me again :frowning:

Is there a way to force the engine to render coronas, even if im too far away from them.

Eg: I start my server with /map goldrush --> coronas showing up well and correct. I record them and watch them with my mod --> they are here too.

But if i now watch an etpro demo, for some reason the coronas are not here anymore.

So is there a way to force the engine to display coronas?

Any help would be appreciated.

same cfg in your mod and the etpro profiles ?

What he said above ^^

Most likely you have the cg_coronafardist cvar set a bit closer than in your other mod profile cfg. Just set it higher and it should work fine.

as i said above:

recording a demo with the mod and watching it then with the mod works great.

But watching an etpro demo with the mod keeps being bugged.

perhaps ETPro team skipped coronas on server
well it is more or less waste to work with them on server, so client can just get all the static coronas and handle them self ( this is done with gamemodels for example )

Guess so too, but can u give me a hint where to search / handle / change it?

I’ve completly no idea atm.

as I said, gamemodels does so
so why don’t you have a look how and try to do something very similar with coronas?
