fog & shaders & other questions

Can someone point me to a tutorial or tell me how to make fog, and adjust density of the fog?

Can someone tell me how to adjust the colour in a shader file
Because i just want to know how to make smoke green (take smoke shader and change colour to green)
and how to make fog light yellow for a dusty desert feel

If you use the search you ll find tons of topics on fog. Search for my name and keyword fog, I did quite some posts.
As for the color: if you use worldspawn-fog, you set that in the shader of the fog.

You can see in the fogparms that you set the color there. This is the fog of the my map TheRiver II Redux. Maybe get yourself the skyshader from that map too.
If you use this way to make fog, make sure your sky has exactly the same color as the fog, or you ll get weird color effects with the fogclipping. Just try out 2 very different colors for fog and skyshader, you ll see what i mean.

I have a new question

This time I used search on objective and flag, and I got lots of results but after looking at a few it wasnt what I wanted to know

I then looked at a tut but it made me more confused

I’m trying to make a flag that if captured and successfully held for 5 mins that team then wins

I take it that to make a flag I just take team_WOLF_checkpoint?

Or do I have to add a model aswell? cause I read that somewhere…

And how do I make the scripting to say that if held for 5 min team wins but if it is recaptured timer is reset?

Its just a first map so there is only 1 obj (capture the flag for 5 min…)

EDIT: @Mcnite I did the search and I searched and when i got tired I searched somemore but I want fog in a specific area :smiley: (cause I wanna be difficult) and most of the opics i found where that the fog covers entire map…

there were a few with fog only in a specific area, but they eventually solved it som other way, or i didn’t understand how they managed to do it…

I need the fog just so that it looks like the map goes on like in railgun by the forward sawn there if you look at the gate you look into the distance but there is so much fog you dont see very far… That it the effect that i want to create, but… how?

For in a certain area… maybe you should say that right from the start? Be precise about what you want.
Check out MLB Temple, it has a fog in a certain area. But it also doesnt really look good. Its one of the things that are possible in ET but dont look good.

well players wont be able to walk through it they can only see it since it is on the border of the map, but I know what you mean cause i say a diff topic about that how it had changed from 2.55 to 2.56 (I think thats what they were talking about :D, but ty
