I have a problem with a foged (not globalfog) surface not beeing lit well…
This wall is a func_xxxx-wall that stands inside foged water.
Outside it looks just like the normal brush-walls , but under water/fog it is different.
2nd it can be seen much ‘better’ through the fog the than other walls.
Its just normal brushed, i used no shader for it.
Ah… i already tryed _cs and _rs btw.
Fog not working on func_xxx ents???

As you can see… there IS fog… but it looks wrong!

i get something similar in my natterbase map. the fog on the func_explosive doesnt look the same like on usual(worldspawn) brushes. the texture(rgbgen vertex shader) is kind of dark so it doesn’t look that bad. as i remember correct fog on func_ entites was an issue in one q3map2 update.

Does the fog brush completely encompass the door brush?
If not, try using the clipper tool to slice the door where the fog brush top meets it.
Fogging of func_* entities isn’t perfect…
