About two weeks ago I bought fletcher. What I noticed (and what those who use him probably also know) is that you get blasted away if you stand too close to your sticky bombs when you trigger them. Not long after I was trying out if you could also get blasted vertically if you stand on top of them and well… that sort of is the case. When you run towards a sticky bomb, trigger it and then jump, you can get decent air-time.
Just so that you all know what I mean:

Like this you can jump over or on top of certain constructions. It might be useful in some cases, but you get an aweful lot of AoE damage which leaves you vulnerable to get killed in one shot. I wouldn’t recommend using it in matches unless no enemy is around and you are sure you can get the timing right. Fyi, getting the timing right isn’t as easy as longjumping.
Here some examples where you can use the sticky bomb jump:

- Chapel

- Dome
I would advice not to use the one in Terminal cos it is highly likely to encounter enemies right before and after you triggered your sticky. Whether you got over the wall or not.
Overall I think this isn’t really useful if you plan on doing it in a match. The timing is rather difficult to master and it leaves you close to dead. Evenso, it is fun to do and if you pull it off to get on spots like the MG nest on Chapel you have a nice surprise attack on the enemy.
Anyways, this was just something I liked to share since I haven’t seen any posts about it on the forum.
(Can anyone tell me how to insert the images as image instead of link? Thx in advance)
