wich one should i buy? i want an engi as i only have proxy

(Yes) #2

Bushwhacker is so boring.

Highly offense orientated and incredibly powerful if you master the stickies.

Bushwacker can’t defend himself for shit. He needs a buff, but really it’s a matter of the metagame.

For the basic engineer, take bush imo. Hes simpler to use and to learn the ins and outs of engineering. That being said Fletcher would be far from a bad choice.

One of the most “personal preference” choices, but since I main Fletcher and he’s my favorite merc I say him just because of bias.

Fletcher can be offensive and deal very fast damage in the right hands. If playing more team-oriented and defensive is the goal, Bushwacker is a better option. A turret can deny an area similar to a molotov from Stoker, but with no ten-second limit. Moving around your turret often can be of great help as well.

He also has a video on Fletcher. https://youtu.be/9916Tfo3IC8?list=PLywBn6IYy4s4wPRlNkaDCwTMJUGHuGkfE

Fletcher can be a very mobile merc: allowing a good deal of flanking and burst damage with his stickies and shotgun, as opposed to the sustained area denial of Bushwacker’s turret. With team support, Bushwacker is better. On your own, consider Fletcher.

Bushwacker is great for defending an objective or holding choke points…much better than Stoker in some cases. Get lock-on for your turret and you’ve got yourself an even faster deadly woodpecker. He is also good on offense, a fast and sneaky Bushwacker is the most annoying thing you can deal with in any game, especially when he sneak plants and puts a turret in a d*** spot.
However, I voted Fletcher because Bushwacker just can’t stand his ground too well if the enemy team knows what they’re doing. Naders, Fletchers and even Fraggers are almost always on any team, meaning that they can turn your turret into scrap in mere seconds…unless you’ve got a REALLY nice team backing you up.

In short, Bushwacker: Teamplayer, deadly in expert hands, area of denial, defense.
Fletcher: Solo, even deadlier in expert hands, great flanker, doesn’t have to rely on a turret when s*** hits the whirling device, offense.
