Fletcher is the man

I got my hands first on this game some 15 days back and Skyhammer was my first merc. Oh I can call some cool airstrikes this is fun. Then Aura, woah this station and the shotgun, so powerful. Then a couple of merc unlocks to Proxy, omg this is so fun she is so fast in everything this has to be best for objectives. I didn’t think anything would top that as I was objective driven. Then, enter Mr. Fletcher. Fire in YOUR hole!

I never had so much fun with a class while laughing hard at those one-liners(wish there were more of them). It is just quality entertainment with what Fletcher can do. Easily, this guy is my favourite merc in this game and I’m trying to get to know him better. Hope the game doesn’t force me into being a Waterboy more often. Also, the guy who did his voiceovers deserves a medal.

And I got a gift for you no charge, oh wait, EXPLOSIVE CHARGE!

Very nice vid. for those interested there is a good thread on some fletcher tips: http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/12135/fletcher-my-guide-and-tips#latest

Regardless, I’m amazed your willing to use this loadout! I find it very weak myself as I can’t do without Empire secondary, feels like it hampers fletchers mid-range capacity too much. Has really nice perks though

Fletcher was fun when I played him when he was on free rotation. Too bad my only gold and silver loadouts from random case drops are both Fletcher cards with Blishloks. :frowning:

Thanks for this, never knew it. Hm I just have one silver loadout card with the drilled, reload while sprinting and 20% explosive dmg reduction augments so I just use that. No bronze or lesser ones worth mentioning. Someday I might get lucky for a better one maybe. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s actually a very good one if you can manage to do well without a machine pistol. ; )

I personally use the Anhuld + Tolen loadout card. With Unshakeable, Though and Enigma. I mainly use it because there’s both Unshakeable and a machine pistol on it. The two other augments are just small bonuses. I am waiting for the Lock On augment to be fixed for Fletcher before using that Empire 9 + Anhuld loadout.

Seems fun… Im @ 40k now, gona try get Flecter ! Wish there was an SMG (fast firing ones, not blishok) variant… Im crap with shotgun…I can track movement like aimbot but with shotgun i dunno when to fire… I shoot right the moment i lose the track D: !

Just use a load out with the Empire 9 as the secondary. If you’ve played as proxy with the Hoschfir, or have played that gun as any other merc (not sure who has access to it), the Empire 9 is almost identical in every stat, just slightly worse. The main thing it falls short is on clip size, but it’s not that it’s got a small clip. The Hoschfir just has a huge clip. I use the Empire as primary and the Aunuld as a one shot finisher either after taking them low with stickies or the Empire.

Fletcher used to be my favorite merc until I got Nader. Now he has some competition for that top spot.

Fletcher seems fun indeed. I might have to practice the sticky bombs more, didn’t manage to get much benefit from using them… Throwing and detonating them feels so slow… and if they miss… blegh…

Empire 9 is an SMG. I don’t care what you say.

My favorite class atm. Got a bronze card for him with unshakable, drilled, and double time. With this comes the Hollunds and the Simeon revolver. And I’m having so much fun. Just running around, never stopping, bombing people and finishing them off with the shotgun. If I don’t succeed with the shotgun or they step too far away, just take out the revolver and finish anyone in 1-2 shots. The revolvers on fast characters are really under appreciated. Headshotting with those is lethal. It’s really easy to whittle down Rhinos with the revolver at range since the damage dropoff is really really low.

Just picked him up today! He is so different compared to Nader, and I thought they would be fairly similar all things considered. Really fun!

Just four words : quick eye on shotgun.

Yeah, yeah, but it’s helpful when I take out my Empire-9.
Plus I’m just glad to have a Hollunds and not an Ahnhuld.

It’s both. Some firearms that are considered Machine Pistols are also classified as a Sub-Machine Gun. For example the Uzi, MAC-10, and CZ-Scorpion fit in both categories.

The Uzi comes in different variants. Some are machine pistols, some are SMGs and others are neither. The MAC-10 is strictly a machine pistol, unless you count state compliant modifications that make them semi-automatic pistols. The only MAC-10s that would be considered SMGs are after-market modifications. There are also clones that are produced as SMGs. As for the CZ Scorpion, it is only produced as a SMG as well as a semi-automatic pistol as a legal loophole. As for the Empire-9, it is a MP9 and that is strictly a machine pistol. There is also a variant that is a semi-automatic pistol and like most machine pistols, you can modify them into SMGs. Do remember we are talking about English classifications. Some languages do not differentiate between machine pistols and SMGs. The Russians, for example, use to consider anything that automatically shot pistol cartridges as machine pistols.
