So everyone should know by now that Fletcher’s sticky bombs have about a half second delay between the time it takes to press the detonator and for the bomb(s) to actually detonate. When it came out I personally hated it because I could actually FEEL the delay. However, I managed to trade up the BL32 in Cobalt so I stopped caring. But there are times when I’d play with Fletcher’s default card just for the lolz. I’d usually have problems wrecking face because of the delay. But what are your thoughts?

It’s actually hard to pull of close combat maneuvers now because the damn sticky throwing animation gets canceled so much.
There has to be some limiting factor when using them, considering you have an infinite supply.
The delay is annoying, but what annoys me even more is the feeling that sometimes it fails to explode, and even more that it doesn’t switch back to weapon after detonation for no reason.
What I would like is if the detonation time can be instant. Of course I don’t like the delay but I’m fine with playing delayed fletcher. It’s barely noticeable.
Room for counterplay.
He mostly just runs around with them anyway and uses guns to finish off when needed. Guns only really come into play when stickys are out of range or on cooldown.
The only argument going for why stickies should one-shot light mercs is that getting a direct hit is difficult. If the stickies can explode immediately, you don’t need a direct, just keep throwing until one gets close.
my bigger problem is the ping dependency. You cannot build muscle memory when the bomb will detonate at various intervals, depending on your ping
With the delay you can sometimes give people a post death present. I hate killing a Fletcher only to die shortly after myself because they hit the detonator before they died.
