Fletcher + carryable objective + fast merc = profit?

So I was wandering, if the fletcher’s stickybomb can stick to a carryable objective like drug sample or ecm charge, do that mean we can make a fast running bomb of death with the help of a fats merc like kira, aura or even proxy?

Like fletcher would wait someon drop the objective, launch all his sticky on it, a fast merc carry objective and thus the bomb stickyed on it, merc wait the objective is close enough to someon and boom

I may be wrong tho I didn’t tested it in-game, would be fun to do that and basicly have kimikaze running onto a group of people befor exploding and not actually die from the explosion

I was derping around with some friends some days ago : I stuck some stickies on the carryable objective on trainyard. Then a friend picked them up. My UI shown that no bombs were active, and I couldn’t make anything explode with the detonator. He then put the objective back on the ground, and the nades were back, ready to be detonated.

So, in short, you can’t. Unless the fast merc release the objective and you detonate it right after, but that will require a lot of coordination. And I doubt that it’ll be that effective anyway.

Wouldn’t it be possible to throw sticky bombs onto a friend who is on the enemy team, and literally go full kamikaze?

still, I would kinda see this as a way to “surprise boomin” a rhino or a medic station, even if nader and fragger are way more adequat for the jobs. Plus it would add a security when the merc put the objective in the goal, if she/he got kill the explosive would be still be there and ready to detonat befor the objective get sended off

I guess so, afterall nader’s nade can’t go past teamate (which is a annoyance when you try to direct hit in a tight coriddor) so why not apply the same logic to fletcher, would be somethings really silly to do but I can see some utility to that personnaly

The light merc will get shredded before he reach him with a 300 DPS minigun. Forget this. Better managing to throw your bomb in Rhino’s face by yourself from afar or from a corner. He’s almost static when he spins his minigun, so scoring direct hits shouldn’t be too hard.

Booby trapping the Objective can work, but don’t expect this to work oftenly (unless some players in the enemy team are really dumb or clueless). Good players will probably check the objective before returning it. It’s like planting a mine with Proxy on the objective : expect good players to know that you put one there. And in that case, it’s oftenly better to trap the access to the objective rather than the objective itself.

Yes, it’s possible. But this has also a name : it’s called griefing.

Don’t grief please.
