Fletcher - BL33 vs BL21

(MarsRover) #1

I played a few games with the new BL21, changes compared to BL33 in parentheses:
Blishlok
Tolen (Empire-9)
Beckhill (Cricket bat)
Quick Draw
Tough
Drilled (Flying Pig)

I didn’t think that Drilled will make a big difference but I think I was wrong. But my question is this: is Drilled it worth abandoning Empire-9 for the Tolen? I barely used Tolen before, and from my first impressions it’s a bit more accurate (or at least as accurate) but has less punch.

(I don’t want BL32 etc - I love Quick Draw way too much  )

Honestly the Empire-9 just feels better to use.

Tolen is weaker than Emp-9 but at least it’s not the Simeon. Drilled Blishlok reloads almost instantly so it might be worth it, I’ve gotta try that new card. I got the new H33 and if feels damn powerful, I’m also interested in trying out the new A23.

Gotta try Tolen MP again. When the machine pistol nerf came out several month ago, Empire-9 recieved the hardest nerf : MP400 and Tolen only got an effective range and clip reduction, but Empire-9 got the same nerf with also a recoil and stability nerf if I am not mistaken. Now, there’s maybe a perk about playing Tolen MP above Empire-9.

Well, on the other hand the Empire-9 lost the least effective damage, with the MP400 being hit the hardest in that regard. I’d say it’s probably viable, might be like having the Selbstadt instead of the M9, inferior but still a fine sidearm.

Tolen is still solid. Empire-9 got hit with a larger nerf and they’re pretty equal overall.

bl33 is perfect for me
good weapons (stilletto… maybe no)
fail safe, sometimes you just blow sticky bomb on enemy face when he is on your face
springy is just springy, same goes for lock on

That’s BL32 mate

I personally am strongly preferring the BL21 after having tried both. Drilled and tough are amazing, and quick switch is over all more useful than lock on. That extra %6~ or whatever activation time with lockon is simply useless by comparison, and with the blish you’re never really getting in range to worry about fail safe, and even if you do then tough has got your back. The secondary, Tolen, is very comparable to the empire 9 nowadays and personally I find it far more consistent and useful for quick picks after hitting someone with a good sticky.

Been using the BL21, I actually like it, I make good use of Drilled and Quick Switch with how I play. I rarely ever throw too many stickies like I used to.

So I just throw a stick, switch weapons and detonate, finish them off.

I only throw more than one at Rhino and Thunder, everything else, one stick is enough to kill or light them up enough for the Blishok to do work.

I never used the Empire 9 enough to notice it make a major difference with me.

So far, I just feel like this loadout suits me better cause I’m more gun focused, I don’t use my stickies as often as say, Sniff or some other Fletchers.
