FLetcher and Aura Blishlock loadouts

Hello.

I always wondered why these 2 mercs have Blishlock as long range option when 2 other weapons are shotguns. Why not burst rifle like Stark or BR-16? These 2 rifles look better as long range alternative to shotguns.
In my opinion burst rifle fits better to Aura game play.

I used to dislike Blishlock, but now i’m at least ok with it since last change. However it seems other people too, because most of time i see Aura or Fletcher they use SMG. Seing shotgun became very rare.

There is a way to get a loadout for these 2 mercs with Stark or BR-16? For example BR-16 with Selbstadt.40 for Fletcher and Stark with Caulden for Aura.

Thoughts?

It’s for balance issues. Because the Blishlok is a lot harder to use and very very easy to miss a lot of bullets (implies to experienced players as well) even if you’re tracking well on a fast enemy like an Aura or Proxy. They already have strong secondary weapons or abilities so if they were to get burst rifles that could take people out in one burst than it’s Dazzler all again.

Shotguns are very inconsistent and the Blishlok is more reliable. As a submachine gun, it’s not exactly long range but it offers the consistency that players look for without it being completely superior to the shotguns.

I’m not particularly fond of the Blishlok so I always use the A31 for Fletcher. If he was given access to burst rifles, there will never be a reason to pick up his shotgun ever again.
