I love Fletcher. He’s the best. He’s my favorite. He was my first cobalt.
And when I got the BL32 in cobalt, I was pretty happy but a bit disappointed. My previous gold card had the Annuhld and I had gotten so used to that, I figured the Annuhld was a must for me (it also had the Tolen and I must say, the Empire-9 stomps all over that gun). But I love the Blishlok with Fletcher now. It rids Fletcher of his lack of range capabilities. But what are your opinions, o’ so avid Fletcher players?
Fletcher: A31, BL32, or BL33?
For me it was a tough choice between BL33 and BL32, since lock-on now works with Fletcher’s stickies, however I find myself switching weapons more often than actually detonating sticky bombs at a faster rate. Not to mention you switch between your stickies and your primary/secondary way faster, you can switch from long range (blishlock) to fairly short range (empire-9, which at least IMO is the best smg in Dirty Bomb, hands down) and you’ll be less exposed when offering them your little sticky surprise.
Again, lock-on is good, don’t get me wrong, but I more often than not find myself in need of a cobalt BL32.
It’s a tie between BL32 and BL33 IMO. While BL32 allows stickies to be detonated faster than any other loadout (plus the 30% less self damage from your Stickies), BL33 makes your switching more efficient, and with Fletcher you’ll do A LOT of switching. When it’s about picking between BL32 and BL33, I think it’s all a matter of taste. I head that most of comp player will take BL32 though, but in my case, I just want to stick with BL33.
I checked the spread of the Ahnuhld-12 again recently. It’s still huge. It’s the tightest spread among shotguns but I really do find that spread still way too big. Shotguns are way too crippling right now, and sadly the Empire-9 won’t allow you to fight decently at range. Better stick with a Blishlok IMO.

Wait, so do you like the BL33 or BL32 more? Because the BL33 doesn’t have Lock-On it has quick draw, but BL32 has Lock-On.

I agree with most of this. I use the BL32, but I’m sure if I used the BL33 I’d be fine (especially since I prefer the cricket bat over any other melee weapon, though I do love the Kukri). The Ahnuhld is still my favorite shotgun, just because of its range capabilities compared to the other shotguns. Sometimes when I go all default cards for the lolz, I often use Fletcher just because his default loadout is one of his best loadouts.
If you could rebind keys per merc, I would consider using BL32. But since that’s not possible then BL33 FTW. There is no convenient way to bind switching to stickies to my mouse. I have melee on wheel click, so I run with Fletcher just like with any other merc.

Due to the fact that sometimes sticky bombs detonate too early in mid-air with lock-on, I like the BL32 more.
I’m gonna be the guy who goes out there and says that I actually prefer a revolver on Fletcher.
The first cobalt I even unboxed was the BL63 (IIRC, been a long time since Fletcher was iny squad) and I’ve never used anythijg else (with it being my only non-stock card and all).
Shotgun fits fletcher’s hit-and-run playstyle more, but I’m a bit biased as I simply prefer it. For loadouts it’s simply a matter of preference and playstyle. If you don’t like the shotgun loadouts then I would recommend the bl32 loadout.
Quick draw can be helpful, but most of the time you should have your stickies out. Only time you would want to switch weapons is to finish someone off that’s almost dead. Lock-on means faster stickies which is good. You also get fail safe which is awesome. Sometimes after you stick someone, they will come rushing at you. By the time you detonate you will probably have killed yourself. Springy is also handy when bunny-hopping. Flying pig and tough are rather underwhelming when compared to the bl32.
Can’t really decide between BL32 and A31… I use both.
I also use Aura with Blishlok and Hollunds, BL41 and H83 so… even if I use more the Blishlok with Aura, so might be more natural to use the BL32.
Reading this forum I got the impression that really good Fletchers are @Sniff and @Haise
The first, from his videos I saw, is good with A31 the later with BL32 so, this don’t help ^^
Learn to superjump with the BL32. There is no accuracy penalty for jumping and springy reduces a lot of the movement speed penalty. You also get failsafe which makes close range aggro sticking hurt less.
Luckily I’ve a shiny Bamboo Gold BL32 and a almost shiny Urban Silver BL33
When you have two good loadouts is hard but, might not feel the difference. Don’t know, can’t vote right now.
Btw thank you @Sniff for answer.
I’m a fan of any loadout that has springy, especially on the players who are a bit heavier and slower (fragger in particular), so I’m going with BL32 aswell. There’s no substitute for efficient movement in an FPS game if you ask me.
I will say bl32 is probably the best overall now. All the perks on it are so good.
I like the BL32. We all like these loadouts but in the end, we gonna get H63 from that case/tradeup
