So here’s the thing.
I’ve been experiencing freezes in this game since Redeye update. 3 months ago I’ve moved to a different apartment and freezes evaporated.
This week I had to move back to my old apartment and here they are again. What is this called?! My only guess is that different electricity could affect my CPU
I play on Win10 (x64), R9 270, FX 6300, 8 gb RAM
A major update on the problem
I’ve managed to pull off lil’something and track down the issue.
Here is what my problem usually looks like:
So here’s what I did.
I ran the game and left it in menu, minimized the game and got to Task manager.
It showed that the game loads up ~25% of my CPU
Then I’ve waited until the game froze (still watching Task manager) and something happened - it claimed that the game had dropped CPU usage to 0% and that “Dirty Bomb isn’t responding” for roughly 7 seconds. I also heard a sudden change in my CPU fan sound too, but not distinctive enough to tell whether did it slow down or speed up actually.
P.S. I don’t have any anti-virus software installed. I have Skype and music player (AIMP) running all the time; other processes seem minor to me.
Conclusion
My CPU stops working for a duration of roughly 7 seconds once in a while running this game. send help pls.
Something else I noticed
Any time I reinstall Windows I get rid of the problem temporarily (in 1-2 matches it returns). Also could be a coincidence

I can’t play this game in this state. Regardless of graphics settings I get freezes. Help.
I do have small freezes (more like stutter), lasting about 3-5 seconds, full freezes occur to me when i use too much textures, also because I have very low end PC.

Nexon Support didn’t do shit in order to help me solve the issue
Now that I’ve tried to install the game again (few updates later) I’ve noticed almost a guaranteed freeze at the end of match (the same length as my random freezes. They both have to have the same reason.
I was curious if maybe some of you guys have had this crap and know how to handle it

Also the freeze which you mentioned at the end game, is it like mine? When I go to the performance tab in the endscreen I get HUGE freezes.
I’ve been trying to find a fix for so damn long ;_;

I can also perfectly hear voice chat and environmental noise (like wind) during freezes, airstrike FX play to their end, but gameplay sound effects (gunshots) are getting looped
No other game of mine shows any kind of freeze
Does anybody have any idea what do I do?

I run on an i5 4690, z97m-plus mobo, GTX 1060, 8gb RAM DDR3, Windows 7. Also worth mentioning that I moved my game from an HDD to a brand new SSD, with no results.

Damn!!! Same as mine! It crashes. sometimes it freezes for about 1min. And then goes back to Dirty Bomb Home Screen so I have to join another match again. But worst cases is when it freezes and you aint nothing to do but to restart PC. I think its not about my pc, coz I have been playing DB for 3months now. and DB only recommends low specs for PC. I also tried playing it to lowest settings, but it didnt fix it. 3 days now that im experiencing it. Right After the last update. Please! Fix it.

Come on SD, the problem is on my end obviously, but it only occurs while I’m playing your game. I need help.
My PC passes Furmark stress test and ASUS DIAG without any concern. No overheating, no freezing, no crashes. No other game I play puts me into such trouble. Help me fix it please

I’m fairly certain it’s something wrong with the game itself. I can run other UE3 games at 150FPS without ever freezing… DB runs smooth too unless when BlackCipher decides to be stupid or the game freezes.
all I had to do is restart my goddamn router. can’t fucking believe this @Dawnrazor
it was a network issue
I just noticed that “refreshing account” and “signing in” take way more time for me than anyone else. After a match I was joining lobbies to the sound of map vote, not being able to participate. that’s how I figured out this was a connection issue. Then I went to router troubleshooting instead of hardware tweaking. phew.
