(Note: This IS a mapping-related question, despite it being about playing SP.)
I was playing SP the other day, starting from the beginning, naturally. I was taking my time, checking the walls and such for secrets (since I’ve never gotten all of the secrets in any level). Well, right after leaving my cell, I walked up the stairs on the way to where the scientist is torturing Agent One. Since I was looking at the walls, though, I was able to realize that most of the steps (with the exception of the landing and the next step down) are all slanted slightly.
Why are the steps slanted? Is this to compensate for the first-person perspective, allowing you to see the tops of the steps better? Or is it some weird-ass form of architecture?
