Railgun was so brilliant (except for Axis being able to get trapped too easily in their spawn).

that’s why there’s a tower spawn added, iirc it was Mortis that made the mapscript. I “forgot” to post the update on our server and suprised a bunch of allied FO with a well placed panzershot. Map went from second to radar in favour to one of the most fun, still is for our LANs
Sounds interesting, are you able to divulge any more information?
I remember a single player map in Jedi Knight Academy that took place on ‘moving’ hover train and thought something similar would be cool to see in ET taking place on some Axis armoured train. I seem to remember the JKA’s train was actually stationary but the scenery moved and was repeated in a loop with some randomisation between sections.
That was pretty much the approach I went for as well. Unfortunately there were some performance issues with the flamethrower which we didn’t really have the time to track down for a single map, amongst other things.
I think it was Ragnar who created the tower spawn version, although it incorporates some of my bugfixes on wait states and the improperly clipped oil tank above the depot yard. We’re all part of a map scripting extended family…
If you look at the goldrush stock script, you’re see some comments that digibob left, showing that he particularly enjoyed some parts of his scripting experience…
