First Impressions - Classes/Weapons

So i play now 3 Weeks this Alpha and here my Feedback about the Classes and the Weapons:D

Assault:

He is the Heavy , why not heavy Grenades too??..Weapons are okay

Engeneer:

Assault Rifle okay but the Shotgun are too strong!!!..This need a Fix
Mine Explosion Radius is too small…Turrets need more Stamina

Fieldops:

Weapons okay , but the airstrike doesnt work in 9 of 10 attempts…this must be fixed…
Airstrike Marker is good but the radius of the explosions are too small ( same is with the airstrikes)

Medic:

Weapons need more penetrating power and there is not enough ammo 4 this class!
btw! Reviwing without spawn protection doesnt works!

Covert:

Sniper Rifles are too easy to handle…and the secondary weapon are toosmall 4 this class
Also Fixed must the 3rd eye bug!

Here some other Things:

Votings on Server? ( for example: map voting teamready restart…)

Friendly Fire?

Spawn protection /Revieve Protection?

The ingame Voices are too cute 4 this Game!

Airstrike/Marker Sounds could be better i hope…

Hitsounds? …i miss the old rtcw/et Sounds

whats the main difference in a heavy grenade? much larger splash, more damage to players ( dont think this part is needed since it already 1shots), extra damage to EV ?

personally i find the iron sight for the engy rifle to be really misleading with the dotsight and circle sight would be better to have one or the other and i agree with the sentry having a bit more health possibly during its setup time

fops is one of the best classes in the game atm his rifle is strong as hell, but again you’re right about his firesupport it really needs fixing players shouldn’t be able to run through it and survive

medic is buggered all round he really needs to be fixed hopefully next patch :slight_smile:

covie, i agree with what you say there, i find the sniper does far to much damage for a body shot though i think its currently 75%

placeholder voting is already in, right click someone on the scoreboard

explosive FF used to be in, not sure why it was disabled again but its there

vsays are placeholders, i think its ms sam? so yeah they’ll be changed eventually not much rush for it

im not sure but i dont think they are allowed to use rtcw sounds, but again placeholders

My first impression is that I"m shocked after all the games that are similar to the Wolfenstein class and item dropping franchises out there (W:ET & Battlefield specifically) I’m still shocked that people still don’t understand that they should ABD, Always Be Dropping; Med packs and Ammo packs.

Maybe for the newer players that are not used to being encouraged towards teamplay like this, that more of an incentive needs to be introduced for carrying out these actions. Personally as a medic, if i gained X hp/Ammo (or whatever bonus) each time a teammate picked up a health pack i dropped or i carried out a revive it would be more encouraging for me to do these actions, as it is rewarding both my teammate and myself. Right now you are only benefiting your teammate which on public servers you really couldn’t care less about doing, as everyone plays for themselves.

+1. It is very annoying to see people enter a room with 2 - 3 other people and not preemptively drop all their packs in the room. These are the assholes I follow around the map knifing them in the back v21 v22 depending on their class.

I think there is revive protection but its just not revive immunity. I think you take like 75% less damage while being revived or something. I think its fine personally.

Medic’s starting ammunition limit is good so you cannot just go rambo with a team of medics heheh. Just get supplied by a field ops.

Yeah lots of new guys just don’t seem to be… at least yet.

Not at all, people can get revived and killed (along with the medic) before the revive animation even completes.

Currently people expect you to revive them, I had say in many situations its a futile try. In most situations it would be better to play without medic. As even if there is a medic, he would need to hide somewhere, else smart enemies might take him out first, and then not have to gib.

I’m agree with that. The sniper of Vassili is too powerfull.

However, for me, the auto regen ruins the advantage of “The eye” sniper. What I loved on ET with the sniper, it’s to not necessary kill my target, but undermine the other team by lowering their health before the gunfights (teamplay!).
It’s impossible no with the health regen.
