Firewall/Upgrade CP suggestion

Please allows us to seamlessly continue the Firewall/Upgrade process immediately after capturing the CP without the need to open the class/weapon selection menu. Given you are the correct class.

While some situations would require the current method, at least it kind of avoids accidental class changes the other “half” of the time.

Totally agree,

Firewalling or uprgrading is actually much more risky than capturing, since your situational awareness (if equpped) is gone along with HUD and muffled sound too.

I find it just means u upgrade or firewall relatively ‘safe’ CP’s. Rather than risk doing it on a CP near the front line.
A repeat of the capture process would be far better imo.

yeah, it often swaps class for me… do you get XP for them either?

@Smoochy It swaps class because you move the mouse…

I think it should get XP though, these particular actions are to help your team, IF you can manage to get to the CP and stay there long enough to catch and then upgrade/firewall.

and then again it could be argued that the benefit of upgrading a CP adds bonus to all teammates so there is no need for XP?

I always switch classes while capping com posts now. My current character has both firewall (Ops) and upgrade (Engy). So I have to make the class switch anyways.

Yeah, but not much. I think it’s 30XP for a Firewall and 50 for an upgrade. Might be nice to bump that up a bit. It’s not like it’s something you can farm, and aside from the time put into it, it’s costing you an ability point. But it sure is nice to see those four extra health pips, or an almost-complete supply ring (if you’re already buffed or an upgraded Medic).

I gave up on hoping for a quick change of stuff concering useability and the UI. It a sad chapter in this game and there are by far more urgend things to be fixed.

Not saying it should be instant, I can handle having to push the button again, but I could see not going into the class selection menu. Allowing you to still strafe and hear at normal audio ranges.
