I’m fine with the update. Less MLG sniper lazers while teammates dying around a corner.
And the overall nerf/buff of weapons/abilities make loadouts more viable.

Also where is Sparks niche now? I always thought she was supposed to stand far away from the battle, picking up her teammates while getting a few picks with her snipey revive gun.

Now she has a damage drop off that denies her sniping ability but you also revive for less health at range? it seems like a weird fix for me.

Makes sense for me, sawbonez/phoenix/aura have to put themselves in mortal danger to revive a downed ally, sparks can just pick em up without any danger, just seems…fitting to me. At least it will still be more effective than the low level aura who tap revives xD

I think it could add an element and make sparks players have to move in just that lil bit closer to get a decent revive, wont matter in pubs but could break the bank in ranked. I want/need these servers to come back up so I can try all these tweaks out so I can form a real opinion on them.

They have better healing and better guns. Sparks have nothing now, there is literally zero reasons to pick her over any other medic.

People asked for Spark nerfs quite some time now and its nice to see that SP is listening to them.

I am very happy, the only reason people pick Sparks and complain about nurf is its totally OP. Its a lame play style and frustrated a lot of people. The only thing I am confused by is what I think is the most over powered of all… Fletcher with the lock-on card. It’s ridiculous. The funny thing is people will happily pick Fletcher even if their team has no bombs\objectives to set, because he plays like a heavy merc.

Also I think revive 1second invincibility should be disabled

What players ? shell be soon replaced by some phoenix or some other medic. Thats all is gonna happen i can hear the prayer of many Sparks player already but its too late she is in heaven now.

The point is that there is no place for Sparks to be now!
She can’t go cqc, nor go long range. She does barely any damage anymore; so cqc means that you’re as good as dead. And you might aswell not revive your teammates from a distance because they’ll barely have any health to do anything major (planting, delivering, killing) for the first 30 seconds.

The only thing to counter the latter is to have the 383 card which nobody uses since Sparks also has to look out for herself, and because pub games.

Those merc changes are really, really questionable, though the weapon changes are pretty nice. I guess SD didn’t buff Phantom because they couldn’t see him in the first place.

That’s about the only merc Phantom is was strong against in his state. I would have prioritized actually making Phantom a viable pick rather than most of these changes, but whatever. I’m not the one controlling the show so

Interesting update, the only thing I’m worried about right now is machine pistols. Fortunately I don’t play Sparks…

However, to all those Sparks players out there, this looks devastating. Quick Charge makes sense, but the machine pistol nerfs and the REVIVR rifle thing seems like a little much.

Really? Where sawbonez, aura or phoenix can shoot way to fallen ally and revive him to full health (and gain full points), sparks cant, because shes glass cannon, ehm sorry, glass bb gun, and she will die way before she reach ally to close range for full revive. She has absolutely no self defense posibilities, so you can just pray to face low enemies. Empire was nerfed by lowering ammo for no reason. There were no complaints about that weapon and with its low dmg it was more like fast shooting bb gun. People asked for Revivr nerf, because they were getting sniped with skilled sparks. But Revivr was one of the hardest weapons in game, because for one hit kill you had to charge up, aim for head, with the worst sights ever, and land a hit on moving target, so revivr was rewarding to skilled players, but useless in combat for lowbies. There was nothing wrong with revivr, but they have decided to change it just for few players. As I mentioned before, Sparks only advantage now is range of revivr (but absolutely pointless in coridors, such as underground and terminal). I wont be picking Sparks anymore to my squad, except missions for her.

Buffed K-121. Nerfed Kira’s speed and Nader’s grenade radius.

Because poor hapless Fragger is the one that needs buffs, not like every high level 5v5 game is decided by which team abuses Fragger+Sawbonez combo to its highest efficiency, it’s all decided by the squishy ass Kiras. And Nader too, Bigger Blast is her most favored perk so lets nerf the blast radius to make her MORE dependant on Bigger Blast.

Also why on earth would you give the S&W MORE recoil? Literally the only good thing about this patch is the Caulden buff, FINALLY.

You guys are just complicating everything… Just remove the damn jump shooting RNG. I guarantee you half of these bullshit changes will be reverted in the next patch. That’s usually how things go except for maybe the shotgun who patch after patch, receives buffs… every fuckin’ time. Next patch things will be reverted… and than the patch after that things will be buffed again… then reverted again… Same thing every time.

Phantom is perfect the way he is though. He doesn’t need improvements. Amiright?

Apparently you guys were lookin’ into how to make him more viable. I still remember that dev stream. That was like 7 patches ago… aka 6-7 months. Where are the changes regarding Phantom?
