The anti-cheat could use a bit of work. Apparently there still people flagging false positives.
Fine tuning opinions
Well, I just played against a blatant cheater. So, yeah, it definitely needs some work.
I liked it, not quite sure about some of them, and Phantom and Fletcher are still yet to be addressed, but it was overall a good patch. I don’t see why nader needed more health. It is not a drastic change, but I feel like a lot of the things they changed were unnecessary. Rhino movement speed nerf, crotzini nerf, and the timik got more accuracy instead of damage which it should be getting. I did like how they are trying to buff less used weapons though, I still hate the stark ar with all my heart, but now it is slightly more usable.
Overall it was a noob invitation fine tuning. All changes made were there to simplify every aspect of the game that was already pretty dumbed down. Little to no spread nor recoil is left after this while before a little of skill was required to manage good automatic and semi automatic weapons. shotguns are now useless vs. the latter ones as the new buffs add pinpoint precision to all guns, leaving shotguns to wait for the next shell while not dealing damage.
Rhino who is already good in ever single aspect except speed got that buffed (granted marginally but for what?). Nader who is already the merc all aimless people gravitate to because of the grenade launcher got a health buff, which was totally unnecessary in my opinion. while the loss in speed is not enough to compensate. Seems that SD is keen on keeping high damage balanced by slow movement but then doesn’t want it to be a proper penalty as they thrive for a fast game.
Crotzni nerf is non existent, contrary to what the patch says. I tried the bullet spread and recoil out of multiple smg’s and crotzni is the only one shooting upwards in a straight line, hence no spread whatsoever.
AC was a welcome change but seems like it only lasted for two days, leaving it now maybe even worse than xing with all the false positive kicks people are experiencing.
All in all it just feels now that 1vs1 are defined upon your pool of HP rather than individual skill, since weapons got buffed to a point where there is no need for player compensation input. At high level this just forces people to play with 120HP mercs up and stick to automatics. This has made the game very dull and fyi I have been winning all my matches since the patch, but the game has no more challenge since the patch. It’s like they wanted merc matchups to be independent of the player inputs. I was able to kill Fraggers with Sparks or Aura 50% of the time before the patch. Now, whoever has higher HP kills me almost every time. Stats have started to matter more than skill and that just sucks.
Propably I mean the graph with the patchnotes has it behind the crotzni/kek10 so outperforming the hochfir and smg-9, but I also noticed a very large increase in blishlok usage, since they changed the sound. And in my experience they don’t do bad.
I’d argue they based the balancing around the Blish. bringing those that perform worse up a notch and bringing those that perform better down a notch.
I’m a bit skeptical about the SMGs being balanced around the Blishlok. After all, we need a SMG standard, but the Blishlok is a very special one : lowest rate of fire of SMGs with highest damage per bullet. I’d be less surprised if they took another SMG as standard that is more balanced in his statistics, and my primary candidate would have been the SMG-9, but the SMG-9 got buffed : it can’t be the standard. So far, since the open beta, the only SMG that did not got changed is the Blishlok… So heh, looks like it makes sense finally.
I was very surprised about the graph though. Blishlok being the second most precise hipfire SMG behind the Crotzni. Those statistics are based on players right ?
Ah didn’t mean standard as in every SMG should roughly behave like the Blishlok. Was thinking more like it being the baseline for this balancing round.
My guess is that they compared all the weapons and said we want the SMGs as a group roughly have the stats the blishlok is pulling right now (i.e. average kills per minute, hipfire accuracy and what else they got). I.e. the Crotzni might have been too strong not only compared to the other SMGs, but also compared to other weapons while the SMG-9 didn’t pull the numbers they wanted.
Hipfire on the blishlok isn’t that surprising actually. For starters you use the Blish alot more in hipfire mode than other weapons since the ADS aimpoint actively discourages the usage of it
.
The more important thing is, because of the low ROF high per bullet damage, every shot on the Blish counts. Players doing good with the Blishlok need to aim better than other players or they loose.
I stopped reading your post here because I know it holds nothing of value.

The conclusion you’re taking is flawed and rude, but then again, who cares about what you read or don’t.
Only thing i didn’t like was the Rhino speed increase and Naders health increase. Nader is strong enough.
