Today is my first day of brink, and so far it’s ok. Getting used to it. I just have a question about online play. Is it easy to find others on the 360 or is it hard. I would really like to play with others(even though i’d get my butt kicked). Is their a group i could join or something. Sorry if im asking a newbie question.
Finding others
From what I can tell from the pessimistic community (lol joking :p) the game doesn’t have that many players cuz it isnt that popular. But there is a new wave of players. If you want to play against more people make some friends with Brink players you like and invite yourself into their matches. It helps to be level 20 or higher considering most of the community already is. Or you could set your options to “My Rank or Higher” instead of “My Rank”, but then you play people that have much better equipment than you.
Since you’re new, download the Agents of Change DLC too, its free for a week and a half (aboutish) and the maps are well designed in my opinion. Im new to the community too so Im learning all the tricks myself, hope I have helped!
…Or you can join the Brink “hardcore club”. Add random people you play to your friends list and invite them to a game every night about 8pm. Start a website for yourselves so that you can actually find people to play with and talk to because the community is so small that is what you have to do in order to get games on a daily basis.
Then if you wan’t to use VOIP in a game…you can’t. Not by default anyway. Go to the users manual and figure out how to maneuver through the menus and invite people to this thing called a fireteam and hopefully they accept your invite during the match and then you will be able to talk to human beings. This is done to avoid any human interaction that might offend you.
Once you do all that…you might start getting some consistent positive experiences. LOL. That’s the way it was a couple of days ago anyway. Since the DLC dropped more people are playing…>THANK GOD! Hopefully it stays this way. I’m guessing your having trouble finding friends to play with because you don’t hear anyone speak. The fireteam crap still applies. Good luck bro.
One more thing…Brink is a good game once you figure things out. Just some faults with the online setup. Welcome to Brink.

Geez dude, you will find any thread to open up the Voip issue.
I get your frustration, but make another thread for it and lets stay on topic.
To the OP: yeah, you may have a hard time finding people online, but there is actually a sizeable community on the 360. I reckon it may be the matchmaking system starting too many new games instead of joining one with a large human group.
But V1cK is right about one thing, even if it was dripping with sarcasm. Its easier to get larger groups by friending people in the Brink community. Keep an eye on regular Xbox enthusiasts on the forums and grab their GT. Feel free to add me too if you like. The more the merrier.

Starting parties and making friends is what I do in every game I play. It’s not isolated to Brink and is what I would be doing even if there was 6 billion people playing; same with the site. I like fostering/building community whether it’s 2 people or a few million. Clearly it’s not what you usually do so it’s to onerous a task.
To the OP, add me if you want. My group usually starts playing almost every night at 8PM EST. People come in and out all night so it doesn’t necessarily matter when you play. Or you can just use my friend’s list to make your own parties.
to be honest it’s definitely hard to find people in this game, I did have a few people but they’ve all stop playing unfortunately, there is people here and there but it’s already known people rage quite a lot, checking out a few xbox forums a more then a few people are bitter about this game but some have returned since the update…so I dunno kinda of meh, I still like it thats all that matters add me - chosen predator
Well i have played more and found a few people. In one game i was playing with only humans… on my side. But it was fun.

I do that also. Many people don’t AND THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE TO. You can’t give me ONE good reason why people should have to do all that crap to get full games or join games with a party. You just can’t. This game makes it too difficult compared to other games which is a big reason the community is small. And yes…I think it’s ridiculous I have to do those things just to play in full rooms although since the DLC it has gotten better and I hope it stays that way.
