Everyone has their own opinions and ideas of how phantom can be improved. But, I think we can just about all agree, we would just like to see something done to him.

Splash Damage, has been making some great balancing changes lately and I am loving the game more and more, please don’t give up on phantom, we know you can make the awesome merc viable!!!

The only problem I see with Phantom as of right now is how his invisibility makes a sound.
Other then that he is completely fine.

Cloak’s visibility should be reduced in any way. Everyone wants him to be viable at 5v5 but I think there’s no need. SD themselves said they will continue making mercs that aren’t viable for comp like phantom.

hes fine as is, people just need to learn not to use only their sword. yeah yeah i know swords are cool and all but theres plenty of opportunity to use it, just use your gun more, walk instead of sprinting, and remember you can use it as a damage shield and learn to dodge while turning such a shield on

Remove his ability to attack straight out of cloak, and remove visibility and noise on the cloak. If the Phantom gets hit while cloaked, then do have a visual distortion effect.

Yes this is IDENTICAL to TF2s spy, but it works much better than the stupid system we have now, where a Phantom can cloak, longjump, and sword slash, and you have to cut through around 150 HP in less than a second unless you wanna get chunked for 108 HP.

His absurd tanking ability like before is gone now, and his HP stats, refractive armor damage absorb is fine now.

Only problem I see with him is strange sensitivity limit when stabbing katana, and his 410 slow movement speed.

He at least deserves 420, or 430 to be fast as Phoenix .

Basic stats are so important like Thunder doing very poor in current state, and I think his basic movement speed is one of the worst cons he has.

this, even fletcher can move at 420 movement speed, which is something phantom could also make good use of.

I don’t read the forums down to every post/thread, but has SD even responded about Phantom anytime recently? As a new player on the scene, they aren’t earning my confidence by selling me on a stealth merc with their video, then making him shit and not fixing it.

This is the Nexon forums, go to the SD forums, I think they post far more there.

As for this idea, I feel that you guys just want Phantom to be strong again. You are just backtracking on his stats, that’s exactly what the Devs changed, and they changed it for a reason.

410 with his HP pool? Fine. Don’t buff both HP and Speed, that isn’t balanced. And for those complaining about the stab, keep in mind it does 108 HP damage with chopper. I’d like to point out how crazy that is.

Look, buff him with a spotting secondary, maybe a small HP or speed buff, but do not make him any more tanky than he currently is. I still think that we need to remove his ability to attack directly out of cloak, no game aside from DB does this, probably because it’s so damn broken.

Yeah, we kinda do want his stats to be backtracked. People have had time to learn his counters and beat him up a few times, but he wasn’t unfairly powerful as people made him out to be back in August. At the present, he is unfairly underpowered, due to his plethora of nerfs and the melee changes.
