Few questions :) please help!

Well i have some problems. Exactly not problems. I don’t know how to do it :slight_smile:

  1. I put some misc_models in map and after compiling i can go through it. Now i would like to put clip around model but i cant :frowning: . Can somebody tell me how to do it or i have do do something else ?
  2. Is there any site with some models for ET? i downloaded 3 models from i think rrtcwfiles.com but i want more :stuck_out_tongue:
  3. I want make a river for map but that must not be static water. I want to make water that will move in canyon. Is possible to make some source wich will flow water always. It won’t drain. I hope you understand me :slight_smile:
  4. I don’t understand all common textures. Is somewhere explanation of all those?
  5. If i want to make a tunnel which won’t g straight forvard. It will have some loops. Now it is complicated to make brushes and rotate them. It
    should be something like on rhine map but i really don’t know how to make it.
  6. When i put grass texture i can’t plant mines there?

  1. Why cant you put a clip round it, try putting the clip round it and clipping the brushes.

  3. the water texture moves, or try a script_mover with some water (clip it to get it to run smoothly.

  5. err, i dont understand, yes you can rotate brushes, do you mean a big bend or a sudden 90 degrees turn.

thanks but this with water. if i put script mover brush of water will move and will come end of that brsuh. When that happen, water will disapear?

well i know how to rotate but i don’t want to have tunnel with bend on 90 degrees. I asked is there any easier way to do big bend like on rhine 2 map because it is difficult for me to draw many brushes and rotate them :slight_smile:

1, Put a brush round yer model then texture with /common/clip maybe clipweap depending on the model, i also heard of spawn flags to autoclip but have to wait for someone more enlightened.
2, http://www.drakir.tk has a load of prefabs also try looking in the sticky thread.

5,make a endcap/bevel then hit “V” to bend as much as u like.

yes but i tried zhis with V key before but if i don’t make it hollow then map can’t be compiled. If i put hollow then some walls that are maken when pressed hollow don’t appear in game. I can walk on them but can’t see them ( i see through them)

The really bad looking rounded tunnel i made in Rhine was made out of “square cylinders”, they act like any normal curve brush just that they appear flat from start and has 4 sides out of 6 covered.
