I’m male, and I would like to see female characters in Brink as well. But sadly, they are not. So, I move on and enjoy the game. If there weren’t any male characters to play as? I’d still play the game anyways. Gender doesn’t really matter in this game since there’s no personal story to follow or choices to make like you would in a RPG like the recent Fallout and Mass Effect games. The main focus of Brink is teamwork oriented gameplay. Whether you want to play the game or not should be based on if you enjoy the gameplay, first and foremost.

And I think he contributed with something important.
I’m a guy but I played Mirrors Edge, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall.
Brink doesn’t have great depth of character, rendering gender even less important.
Although the designers gave it an RPG swing, that’s not what Brink is about.
About the only great FPS I know that allowed you to play as a girl so far, was UT3. (Good job, UT3.)
Don’t get me wrong. I understand the TS would like the ability to play as a female character and I think that needs to be said a lot more by girls.
But for this game, a clear choice was made a long time ago, to not include female characters. So you’re not really accomplishing anything by stating you want them.
But, killerbee223, if they would add them. What would you like them to look like (taking body types into account)?
