[Feature Request] Silver+ Loadout Perks

A large part of me is glad that there isn’t any functional variation to cards higher than Bronze, as this helps keep a Pay To Win aspect to a minimum. However, it might still be nice if there were at least some motivation to go for higher classes… one potential option:

When receiving a loadout card of higher classes, the ability to choose between random augments/perks to that card.

Bronze would be normal: you get 3 perks.

At Silver you would get 3 perks, and a 4th in reserve. You can slide this 4th perk to replace one of the starting 3.
At Gold you would get 3 perks, and 2 more in reserve. You can slide 1 to replace 1.
At Cobalt you would get 3 perks, and 3 more in reserve. You can slide 2 to replace 2.
At Obsidian you would get 3 perks, and 3 more in reserve. You can slide these 3 to replace 3.

In my opinion this shouldn’t change gameplay too significantly as to make it pay-to-win. Players aren’t given free-reign over crafting a perfect character, and even then: they’re still dealing in perks common to everyone.

It should honestly stay the way it is. Giving this ability to higher tier cards give it a distinct advantage.

Cosmetics need to stay cosmetic.

That would make it pay to win. No. I realize those perks in the hands of a noob mean nothing but gaming press and reviewers would have a field day.

This is exactly what p2w would be. Bronze players wouldn’t be able to get what it is actually a gameplay advantage. Do you know how many terrible augments would be insta-switched if this was possible that bronze players can’t do? Nope, bad idea.

We used to have exclusive cards at higher rarity and while it’s not the same as you suggest there’s a reason they removed bonuses above Bronze. Sawbonez’s best Crotzni loadout was exclusive to gold which was a massive nightmare to get. What we have right now isn’t perfect but it’s far better than what you suggest, sorry.
