As the title says.
[FEATURE REQUEST] In-game ability to make screenshots and battle recorder would be nice.
They know that demos don’t work and are fixing it eventually. Screenshots might be part of UE3 too but I’ve never looked for the command since DB is a Steam game and I take Steam SS’s without issue.
You are already using steam to play, just press F12 …
We dont need more useless stuff in the game. Or you can your fraps !

No, no. While I agree Steam should do for screenshots, I mean a proper battle recorder which could be used for competitive gaming, creating awsome videos and as anti-cheating measure. In-game battle recorder is different from software like Fraps as it doesn’t tax your PC much. For a start the output file is few megabytes in size instead of gigabytes and has no CPU impact really. This video should explain it fairly well:

He’s talking about a server side demo that records the action of all the players on the server. It’s small in size, you can load it up through the game and then, if the engine/player permits, move the camera around to see events unfold from any perspective. It’s a pretty popular feature in quite a few games and a lot of the amazing gaming videos you see take advantage of it. I have no clue if UE3 has native support for it though or even has support for server-side demos.
Demorecording is one of the most requested features, aside from nerf / buff X and make DB more like Game XY 'cause I can’t handle the playstyle, on the board.
The Engine comes with capabilities for it build in, but they are buggy at the moment and hopefully get fixed at some time.
Till then I fear video recording is the only option.
For Screenshots I agree with the rest, Steams F12 integration is working fine and is all that is needed.

I have seen few terms used to describe this: demo, battle recorder and replay. Depends on the game franchise.
