Favorite Merc Class?

There are pretty much five merc classes in Dirty Bomb: Medic, Recon, Engineer, Assault, and Fire Support. Which is your favorite?
Mine is Engineer since I seem to be the only one who ever plays the objective.

Other than that it’s not really one. But all TBH. I love playing as Phoenix or Sporks when the team really needs a medic. I also love playing as phantom, flanking and distracting my enemies and obliterating the enemies but i can’t forget about the fun fast aggressive playstyle of Proxy.

TBH i think that my least favorite category is Fire Support because I’m sorta like MEH when it comes to Arty and Kira (even tho Kira could be pretty damn fun to play and mess around with her orbital strike) but i’m fine with Skyhammer (gotta love the Timik and the M4 tho just way too cool). I’m pretty damn hyped for Stoker tho because of the molotovs, ammo station and Timik/M4. Ohhhh yeah and because he’s a old psychopathic Brit which like burning stuff.

Has to be medic. A good medic can carry a whole team on their back.

Fire Support. Nothing more fun than lasering/airstriking/artying an outdoor Aura camp.

Recon for their ability…though their weapons tend to be high skill and near useless in cqc (I tend for a more aggressive forward style). Obviously not counting Phantom as a recon in this regard.

Engineer for their traps. I might go for aggressive style but I love leaving little presents behind.

Would be interesting if Aimee’s ability still has it’s explosive ability. I’d probably fall in love with her if she has that, and SMGs (proper ones, not those PDW/machine pistols).

From the scale of 1/10 how hyped are you for Stoker? Or shall i say how stoked are you?
For me it’s 10 cuz of the weapons: Timik, M4 and i dunno his 3rd one and the abilities: the ammo station and Molotov. I’ve always wanted another merc with assault rifles in this game and and ammo station here we have Stoker. Also i’d love to use the Molotov as area denial and i have a little tactic involving the ammo station and Molotovs.

@TheOrangePhantome is that the trapping people in a room and burning them alive one? Becaise you seem pretty stoked about that xD

But my favourite class by far is medic. I do play others, but my newly gilded aura always stays there on my squad, for when I realise my mistake xD

Medic, all the way. You can’t help but feel like Necromancer like when you run into battle and revive someone behind enemy lines so that they can help you fight, and healing people mid combat always makes me laugh as to how annoyed the enemy that was shooting him must be. Running to a corner before a choke point, putting down a health station and holding that point with two teammates is always a spot of fun too. Not to mention the top speeds you hit on a parkouring Aura are mad. Just try and catch me. Sparks can do it too but she doesn’t suit the close range combat in which that play style synergises with so I find her kinda meh in that respect.

When I play medic I always play support medic, focusing solely on reinforcing an attack, healing teammates or flanking a group of enemies who are pestering my teammates. Arriving behind a firefight and breaking your way through, rezing those left on the ground and moving forward always satisfies mah need for action, and at the same time I am actually helping my team, instead of being out there for just the kills/points. coughPhantom/Vasili/Nader/Rhino cough I could go on, but I won’t. But I could.

Oh Fragger, I nearly forgot to mention Fragger.

Nah my tactic was more like setting up an ammo station, crouching behind it and using it as cover and tossing a molotov at incoming enemies to surprise them but the tactic u suggested may work imma try mine and urs when he gets released.
