Umm… I think you might be a bit confused. Depending on the damage/spawn time, being “killed” basically incapacitates you until the next spawn (or forever if you don’t tap). During this time an enemy can “gib” you, meaning they shoot you a few more times until your permanently dead OR a medic can revive you. There is a possible insta revive unlock that was talked about, but hasn’t really been confirmed or explained. Rambo medics is an issue with medics only helping themselves instead of their teammates, and I am pretty sure that medics will still be as important as always no matter what.

I was thinking that enemies could be downed. At 3:00 in the first part of the gameplay on the container level, he shot an enemy, and the guy dropped onto his butt. He was still alive, yet wounded. Thats what I thought of when I thought about multiple revives, like on L4D how you could pick up downed teammates who weren’t literally dead yet. I am probably wrong about the revives but, it pops up on the sceen for him to interrogate him, and that leads to why did only one of the enemies drop interrogatable, whilst others just died?
a tie between Operative & Engineer here… both have cool skills, but both have their downsides depending on how the game actually plays (turrets can be useless if they’re very weak, and interrogation can get screwed over by tap outs…
I think i you are being interrogated, you can’t escape it…at least that’s how I would implement it. However, tapping out BEFORE you are interrogated seems completely acceptable.
It’s not like L4D, in ET you also ‘down’ enemies and you still need a medic to revive them.
What I think will happen is that there’ll be a slow and a fast revive for medics.

Also can’t forget about that hinted unlock that might give players of any class an instant revive or something weird.

I’m thinking that the instant revive thing would be like a deathstreak, where you get it after being killed so many times in a row, and it only has a limited use. I don’t see them making it a skill anyone could select, and if they did again, it would have limited use, like a long cooldown or only a single use skill.
Engineer.
I love planting mines in weird spots and deploying turrets.
I’ll miss the Field Op class though, but it’s good since airstrikes would be way too overpowered.

i like both clases in Brink as well as in ETQW, but found being [good]medic is a bit boring and hard.
fieldops ?
since Brink has no vehicles inside and deployables are downgraded, there is not such need 4 this class.
originally its descent from “Commander” idea, similar to leader in TF classic and leader in recent BF games.

It might be cool if a new class was introduced sometime down the road in similar games, but as to what it would be and do… now that’s a tough one
.
I’ve always chosen the stealthy approach in every mutliplayer shooter I’ve played. Modern Warfare, Team Fortress 2, etc… I love stealth. So for Brink, I’m defiantly going choose the Operative class. It sounds like crazy stealth fun.
i know this is extremely old but bumping this is better than creating a new one, sounds like i’ll be an engineer for the most part, im usually a massive fan of Soldier but engineer just seems more useful with the ability to deploy turrets and mines
Operative, I always have enjoyed getting behind enemy lines and messing up the team.
Operative sounds sweet. But I like the soldier too. We shall see.
I like dps/support class so engineer suite me just fine. Chances are I’ll play all of them but will roll the engineer first.
Well ive always have been the engineer in ET:QW so i voted engineer but if i had to choose a second i would choose operative
