In the first week i’ve been playing Brink the Rhett is my favourite assault rifle. i like the high damage and i can control the recoil.
Favorite AR?
Agreed. At short range, the Euston is better, but with the stability of the Gerund, you can put enough shots on target that it is viable at any range. The Rhett is a good weapon if looked at by itself, but when compared to the gerund and Euston, I see little reason to choose it.
The FRKN-3K seems like a good weapon, but i just cant use it all that well. I have better luck with the Rokstedi, but I only ever use it on the more open maps with the COGA scope, Prison and Resort come to mind.
i haven’t tried Gerund, but i find myself losing alot of 1 vs 1 gunfights because of its low damage. Any recommend attachment setups for it?
Euston. I like to get in close quarters combat, so it fits my playstyle perfectly. Front Grip, Muzzle Break and just spray and pray.
I usually have it with a muzzle break, foregrip, extended mag, and whatever top attachment you can aim with best. Its a bit slow to equip at times, but thats not as important with a long-range weapon.
I usually pair it up with an SMG that equips fast and hits hard close range such as the Kross with a speed sling and muzzle break.
This way you can quickly whip out your sidearm if someone gets too close, and use the gerund for everything else.
Euston, the most SMG-like of the AR’s.
On the flip side, I like the Bulpdaun SMG, the most AR-like of the SMG’s.
does range really have an effect on these guns? i’ve started playing without muzzle breaks so the range doesn’t get capped hoping the range has a tie in with damage. anyone care to elaborate?
With the SMGs, range is an issue; with the rifles (both ARs and long rifles), not so much.
I have a muzzle break on pretty much every single one of my weapons, save the one or two that I’ve silenced in order to have options. So you can probably tell what my opinion of the decreased range is.
The only time i would consider putting nothing on the front of a weapon is if i wanted to make a long range SMG, such as the Bulpdaun.

This. Some weapons are affected by the accessories differently and have a more/less profound benefit and a more/less profound detriment. My engi and soldier both use the Gerund with a muzzle break because I notice the increase in stability but don’t notice range being affected at all really.
I find the Euston’s damage overcomes its range issues with a red dot sight. It’s my AR of choice at the moment. Also equipped with muzzle break, taped clip and sling.
Secondary weapon is usually the Tampa SMG. Phenomenal damage! But jumps like a bitch so use close range. Equipped with muzzle break, taped clip and adjusted ironsights since you should be up close.
Good luck.
Euston beats the Gerund hands down. Get better at aiming with it instead of relying on the Gerund’s easier aim and you’ll take down stuff twice as fast.
Euston - COGA scope - Brake Muzzle - Front Grip - Drum mag.
I main the Gerund with a front grip and CU-GONE red dot sight. After testing out the Gerund with and without a muzzle brake…I just can’t tell if there is a difference in performance. That being the case, I see no reason to sacrifice range for seemingly no effect.

Not really true. The Euston has a lot of random spread compared to the gerund.
For medium body type i usually go with Gerund- grip, muzzle break, duct taped magazine and Kross- muzzle break, grip, drum mag.
The Rokstedi because I’m a big fan of the FNC in Raven Shield and I’m just glad that Brink resembles it.
I like the Rhett. I can control it much easier than the rest of the choices. That leaves me open to slap a nade launcher on it instead of a grip.
Also from a RP perspective, the Euston is too damn small for my Heavy to consider it. And the Gerund’s open breach system seems like it would get dirty faster and jam a lot. I hate having to clean weapons more than is necessary.

I prefer to focus on hitting every shot with a weaker weapon, and being able to do it at any range, instead of manageing the recoil on a difficult weapon that is best close up.
With the gerund i can hit 10 out of 10 shots at any range in a couple seconds. Thats enough to put down a couple guys, and can be done at any range. With the Euston I would be struggleing to hit the body, with further shots being half luck. Even if i could manage to have the same control as I do with the Gerund, managing the recoil would require I shoot slower.
