Just putting this up for reference. Doing some research it does look like a driver/OpenGL support issue with Intels GMA/HD graphics chips because it seems to be cause by so many different ‘agents’ (initialising factors). This likely needs Intel to step up to the plate and not SD.

Just updated Intels GFX drivers to 8.15.10.2509, game now runs.
