Fastest way to get XP?

(Terminator514) #1

I just got my second level 20, but I was wondering, is there a faster method than to just playing and doing objectives? In other words, an exploit?

(R_Shackelford) #2

No exploit that I know of.

I play through the entire campaign with all my new characters to level them up. I’ve also started some characters by specing as a Medic, and then re-specing at level 19 or 20 to whatever you want, as I think Medics can consistently get the most XP.

Once you’ve done that, I recommend doing the campaign’s Prison Break (Sec Tower on offense) as a Medic for maximum points. You can easily average over 10k XP a game. And when you’re in the heat of battle, don’t give health buffs; wait for teammates to go down then revive them (this of course if you’re playing campaign or private with bots… don’t leave human teammates to get shot down).

(Zarel) #3

…I think there’s none.

Well, I almost always set my botmatches in stopwatch, two hours. Might seem like grinding for most folks, but for me, I’m doing it because I just want to have fun, I often feel the default time limits in matches are short.

Search these forums for Ops hack exploit or xp cheat. Its out there. Be fiixed when dlc drops.

Dammit, now I can’t find the “XP exploit” thread myself.

I have never done this, so I may have a few details off. I’m only on my 3rd character and he’s a lvl 19. With this exploit, you could max out all of your characters in a day or two.

  1. Start a private (or maybe solo?) match, only 2 players (1vs1). Activate the “overtime” rule.
  2. Choose a map that has your team hacking an objective, like the very first obj in Terminal if you’re the Sec.
  3. Select the Ops class. AI should then become the Engineer class. If he doesn’t at first, he should once you plant the hack box.
  4. Start hacking and go hide somewhere nice and quaint, (since you’re gonna be there for a while). I think you have to be 4 bars, but maybe it’ll work as 3 bars, or maybe it doesn’t even matter at all…
  5. The enemy AI Engy will start de-hacking and stay there. As long as you’re still hacking, I don’t think the hack box can be removed.
  6. This will go on for eternity and you’ll keep getting hack XP since the game will go into OT and never end until you stop hacking.

I may have a few details wrong. Perhaps it is a 2vs1 match, with 2 Ops vs 1 Engy? So you start as an Assault and have to hope your AI teammate goes Ops, then kill the enemy AI guy if he isn’t an Engy, then once you’ve planted the hack box, switch to Ops as well and it’s 2 Ops hacking vs 1 Engy de-hacking.

I dunno. Never tried it and don’t care to rack up XP like that.

My favorite non-exploit ways to rack up XP:

Assault: Go to a popular choke point. Throw flashbangs, molotovs, and grenades into large groups for big XP gains with the knockdowns/flashes/assists/kills, Use lobster to also knockdown large groups. I’ve been getting anywhere from 3K to 11K a game recently just doing this tactic. It’s nice to hand out ammo too, but then that cuts down on your grenade lobbing since you need pips for throwing nades and to restock yourself.

Ops: Disguise as an enemy, get behind them, and mark them all the time. So easy, especially on open levels like Sec Tower, CC, and Resort. I rack up so much XP and I help my team out by making every enemy player glow red. Also, firewall composts.

Engy: Buff guns and Kevlar for easy XP. Cap composts and upgrade them for another glob of XP.

Medic: Duh. If you’re a half decent medic, you should be racking up XP for just doing your damned job. Heal people, dammit.

fastest way to lvl to 20 is to go full medic untill 20, reset skills to what ever you want, then lvl up one more time. Medics get the most exp no question. I’ve gotten 25k in one match with my lvl 16 medic. Make sure that when you go to a map, your on the side that is attacking.

(Smokeskin) #8

Start a solo match on Resort with max 1 and min 1 players. You will fight alone against an enemy bots. If your firewall blocks players you can make the match online for a bit more xp.

Choose resistance and proceed to the last objective. Place the hack box and stand in the small room just behind the hack box. The enemy engineer will dehack at the same rate that you hack. Alt tab out or go see a vie and 2.5 hours later your level 1 char is level 20.

There are 3 good ways to consistantly get huge scores quickly and it depends if you are playing online or offline(keep in mind I’m talking bots vs humans, if you are online and facing lots of bots on the opposite team treat it like you are offline):

Online: best way is to be a light medic, buff 3 people at the spawn and keep some of your pips. Wait until people go down and revive them, it’s more points than buffing them up before they die. If you are about to max out on pips, buff someone for the points. DO NOT USE YOUR NADES, they give you less XP per pip than revives.

Offline on defense: Pick soldier, best is medium with a garand+underslung nade launcher. Use your buffed (don’t bother if you don’t have nade perks) and flashbangs on large groups of spawns… I’m talking 4+ people within the radius. When the wave is defeated, and scavenge(this should be the highest priority perk) dead bodies. The most xp you get is via giving people with 10% ammo left an ammo buff, when they are close to being out of ammo you can get up to 150 points per pip. I have had games of 9k scores when the attacking teams don’t get past the first objective this way easily.

Offline on offense: Pick the operative class and pick the perk that lets you spot enemies while in disguise. Kill the first enemy you see and take the disguise. Run WAY behind enemy lines (this is key, the person who’s disguise you are using WILL shoot at you while you are disguised, you need to be far enough behind them that you can see their team but not get blasted by this bot) and spot. Enemies only stay spotted for like 4 to 10 seconds, so you can go back and forth spotting the same 2 enemies for 50 xp a pop for a very long time. It will take some getting used to because you are spotting without crosshairs in disguise but I have had games of 13k+ xp doing this. If your freinds get to the objective while you are marking, don’t be afraid to pop out of disguise and clear the field + throw caltrops in the direction of their spawn for more points.

For the character you make the first perks you should get are operative spotting, soldier scavenge, medic extra pips/ self revive, and universal extra pip/increased pip refresh speed. This way you can choose one of these three classes depending on the situation and then once you hit the high teens, you can respec and have a maxed character easily.

I don’t really know why you wouldn’t be able to stop hacking? Unless you don’t get the XP when you lose?
Anyway, it’s getting patched soon, so you might wanna hurry

You get the full xp even if you lose, that part of the guide is pointless.

I basically have only one char wich I play since the begining. My daughter(7) dressed up 2 additional chars(never let her play the actual game of course) and I created one char only to do that damn 2 star challenge thing, wich I can’t accomplish with my lvl 20 to this day.

In pub games its also more useful to have a well balanced jack of all trades, since you have to switch classes quite often. E.g. in CC as Sec; if there are only soldiers and meds and you have a fully pimped med and no one feels the need to switch to engie you have to do it or the damaged bot will stay where it is forever.

I allways feel uncomfortable when I don’t play the class wich is actually needed to accomplish the obj. I have the feeling that I would loose control of the outcome of the game if I’d stay as a momentarily secondary class. Especially when your teammates are running around like chicken, start sniping, or just give a f*** about the obj. That all is mostly a problem when you are playing offense, but it can also be a pain in the a$$ when playing defense and meds start sniping and engies plant their stuff at the most ineffective and ridiculous areas.

(iezza) #13

One wai to get 17k a match without Exploit.
you will need:

A small sticky white circle
Homing beacon

Put the dot where your aimign reticule would be. change to operative, disguise and use homign beacon.

Done

(dabis) #14

Play medic against easy AI if you want good exp. I have gotten up to 20k exp/match doing that on reactor/container city.

You could also use OP and run around targeting easy comps while under disguise for really quick exp.

(R_Shackelford) #15

I figured out a new method to this technique while polishing off my SuperMedic.

Same map (campaign level is actually “Breakout”) on offense. Play as light medic so you can run from spawn to team faster. Unload all your pips into teammates as health buffs or metabolism or whatever as fast as possible. You can revive if anyone happens to be down near you at the time. As soon as you’re out of pips, rush the enemy so you get killed. Run from spawn to team and repeat. I got over 25k XP in one run doing this.
