Welcome to FAQ-ing Fridays number 7!
If you didn’t know, what we’re doing every Friday is combining all of the juicy dev replies we’ve done during the week into one central space so no-one will be out of the loop with anything we say. As always all feedback is welcome and if you can think of a way to improve this further let us know.
We also saw after last weeks FAQ-ing Friday that you guys posted a LOT of questions in the comments, so we’ll see what we can do to get back to you on those (and the new ones we expect on this post too).
So here we go:
heedongq - The ‘Faster Teammate Repairing’ doesn’t seem to prevent people from repair stacking. Is there anything that can be done to improve this?
This has always been something we’ve run into as trying to convey this to players effectively is a bit difficult. If you’re not helping in the repair your tool doesn’t even do the appropriate animation as another visual clue, but seems that still isn’t enough.
Sammyo28 - How do I use Weapon kits? I try to use it but it won’t let me
You can only use Weapon Kits on Silver and above rarities.
JellyHero - Who is better and why between Aimee and Vassili?
I personally like playing Aimee more than Vassili as I enjoy Snitching people. Dem Snitch kills, so satisfying
dovabylat - I’ve got 66h in the game and I’m level 7. However I keep getting absolutely obliterated by other players. What am I doing wrong?

GearMonster1 - I recently started Dirty Bomb and would like to know which should be my first Merc
As I always say, Nader is bae, and Kira is a lot of fun too! That pillar of fire is scary when you’re running away from it.
AraoftheSky - I’ve noticed over time that a lot of newer players who come to the game seem to be under the impression that Objective is the main game mode of Dirty Bomb.
Objective is the most played mode in the game. It’s the first thing you play and generally players stick to it. Execution gets unlocked after a few levels. Personally, I feel like you get more game time in Objective, however for me it feels like you’re just playing half a match of Stopwatch which is the competitive core game mode and is used in Ranked, so I always queue for that.
boolean__ - I’ve seen many people claim that local multiplayer was not available on DB, but I was looking through the commands and noticed that there was an “Open” command with a localhost default syntax
Can confirm, there is no LAN version of the game. If you want to run around and practice jumps or research maps, you can open and run maps on your own, but no one will be able to join you though.
Bob_of_Astora - My game will freeze for a few seconds every so often.
If this is happening consistently, please get in touch with our support team and attach an image of your dxdiag. From that, they may want to get further info from you.

Frogteam - I just passed 700 hours and I feel pretty happy with my skill level when it comes to gunfights and map awareness, but I know I’m pretty far behind when it comes to teamwork
Always keep an eye on your teams’ Mercs and swap when necessary, always focus the objective, learn spawn timers and timings for where people will be*
Pyjama_Slam - Would we be able to re-roll special edition cards?
For now, sadly no. We don’t have plans to introduce this, but that could change. The future is a mysterious place.
thegeeko91 - I’m a returning player and saw that Arsenal Crates are new content which have been introduced. Any chance I can get the cases for the levels I earned before?
Sadly these items have not and will not be retroactively given to players.
watsyurdeal - What if we started with Fragger instead of Skyhammer?
As other people have been said, Fragger is not as much of a ‘team player’ as Skyhammer is and we wan’t to push players towards playing the objective and helping teammates as much as possible.
DarenaBryant - I just reached level 7 maybe a couple of days ago and higher skilled players are running me out of my matches
Sadly there’s not a lot we can do to resolve this for now. We’re working our asses off at the moment to to complete casual matchmaking which will resolve all of these issues though.
