Paid the 120 dollars like a fool expecting access as it says NOW. Only to find this in my email reply, thanks a bunch. If you are going to reserve the right to not give access at least put it out there, that it’s not available at the given time of my purchase. I mean it’s out as of today so why the hell would I expect it not to be available grrr.

Alpha just started. They’re probably busy with working out server load, handing out keys etc. It’ll probably just take a little while before you get invited.

Also if you’d read everything:

Access to the upcoming Closed Beta, plus instant access to the Closed Alpha running now. We reserve the right to suspend Instant Access in case of unexpected load or technical issues.

And having issues is quite common when an Alpha/Beta starts.

Just to let you guys know, there’s a small issue with the system that’s granting alpha keys and it’s pushing them out too fast for the email server to handle. This has the unfortunate side effect of some emails not being sent out correctly. Please bear with us while we fix this.

We’re doing our best to keep up and grant keys manually in the meantime but that may not always happen right on the dot. Apologies for the inconvenience!

I’m curious to know why it says: price 30$ value 50$. How can something that gets sold for 30$ have a value of 50$. I guess it’s marketing or do people who buy some package get in game currency as well? Questions, questions.

the pack is being sold for $30 but the value of everything in the pack is worth $50 if bought individually therefore saving you $20.

The Legendary, Contributors and VIP Founder Packs all get instant access to the Alpha. The other packs are guaranteed Closed Beta access, with a small chance of also being invited to the Alpha.

Lets assume this: the priority access is worth 30 dollar. That means that a founder’s tag and a founder’s merc is worth 20 dollar. In game transactions will be really expensive.

Or that the founder’s stuff is deliberately the most expensive so that every Tom, Dick and Harry doesn’t have them and belonging to a small close-knit group is part of what makes it special and is a nice thank-you from SD for showing your support.

$20 is under £13, if anything that’s downright cheap in my books!

Less than a round at the pub, less than a decent T-shirt, about the same as a new DVD/CD, etc.
