Dicon, did you do any playtesting sessions on this map?
A couple things were readily apparent when I loaded this up for playtesting.
Loads of missing textures, including all of the mountains.
You did not include stairs going up to one of the main entrances of the town wall…so it looks a bit unnatural having a doorway on the second floor leading out into the fields.
Your tank splines need a lot of work. You go over the bridge just fine the first time, then you turn around and fly over the river, then start digging into the Earth…and crashing into structures…turn around again and do the same thing a couple more times, just a little to the left each time.
Really needs to be fixed, as do the missing textures. The elevator has some problems.
The brushwork seems to have some unsightly seams in it as well,a couple of windows are not aligned properly with the buildings, and you can see the void or skybox (the texture is missing behind it, so I have no idea what it’s supposed to be) behind it.
A couple of buildings, the boat,the foutain and the music was taken out of Caen and seemingly without that mappers permission, since one of the buildings has slices going through parts of the building, like it was decompiled and not taken directly out of a map source.
While you have said that this is a remake of Caen, credit should be given to the mapper (Zig-Zag) who originally made the title in your readme, if he wants that. You should contact him and solve all these issues in the beta2, you’d be much better off I think.
Sorry to be so critical, a lot of these problems would have been very apparent and fixable before you released a beta1, if you had playtested, obviously this didn’t happen.
