FalckonET (working title) Mod Information

FalckonET is a new Enemy Territory mod being made my Falckon Studios.
It is mostly a realism mod with many added features.

Here is a list of just some of the features:

Weapon spread based on movement speed

Ettest grenade physics based on movement direction and speed

Realistic weapon rates of fire

Submachinegun recoil

New models: MP40, K43, Stielhandgranate (more to be added later.)

Realistic movement speeds

Ability to move camera while wounded and waiting for a medic

Grenades explode when shot. Can be toggled on/off with a Cvar

Rockets explode when shot.

MP40 sound from ETtest

New Mobile MG42 sound

Added an emplaced Browning .30 Cal MG

Thirdperson and firstperson support for firing while leaning

Custom Maps

Realistic weapon damage

Yep. All of the above list is what’s already been put into the mod, not what’s being planned.

Hmm. What I posted was a way of saying “Please give us a sample of your new MG42 sound”, not “Have you got the new MG42 sound in-game yet?” which, quite frankly, would be one of the easiest items on your list.

Done, though I won’t be able to get online on MSN for around 2-3 hours.

We may change the MG42 sound to a louder version. Thus making it sound more powerful.

Yep , back to topic , new features :
Panzerfausts can be affected by gravity ( cvar )
Player stance icons
Simple Underwater shader
New Stielhandgrenate animation ( still needs some work )
Cvar that will place guns to more realistic position
Weapon pullback when moving ( cvar )
Leaning adjusted now ( generally it is smaller , but it is now bigger for right side )
also made a comfortable command for toggling thirdperson
New sound for Thompson and Fallshirmjägergewehr 42
Cvar for panzerfaust speed
Drums background loop in Limbo ( still need to do better artwork :-/ )

I hope we will be able to release public version too , and I hope I will be able to do more animations for some weapons
So please stay tuned , I will post some shots soon , but this is mostly gameplay mod…

I promised screens , lol ?
Hmm I taked them in windowed mod and there appears bugs on images , so you should be happy with this :-/…
Note that MP40 model is only roughly skinned…

I have added fuel canister to flaming plamers ( players which have ammo for flamethrower ) …

I think we are really close , we have solved all known bugs , and I hope we will soon have final test and make first public version…
at least enjoy small picture :slight_smile:

IMO these will unbalance the game. I hope you’ve done something to counter these changes…

oh how can command toggling cg_thirdperson unbalance the game , lol ?

You can somewhat see behind you, which makes it nearly impossible to knife somebody until you run by them…and if they turn slightly you’re screwed.
Also, if you turn you can see around corners without leaning.

thirdperson can be disabled by server bacon …

We are working on balancing everything as well.

Rifle nades, for instance, are much more deadly now since realistic movement speeds make it harder to dodge/run from rifle nades. This means we’re going to have to do something to weaken rifle nades. (The etpro fans cheer)

We have have a release any time soon. THe team is going to have to have a meeting and discuss the minimum we want to release in the beta.
