Factions are coming in the next update!

Meet the attackers - Jackal. They’re a criminal syndicate specializing in tech heists and blood money. Little is known about their motives, though sources say they’re hiring Mercenaries to steal valuable secrets and technologies being tested in the city.

That’s right, CDA are the defenders! Specializing in disaster relief, the CDA have been granted a huge cash injection from the UK and the world for research and development as they try to clean London of radiation following the dirty bomb terrorist attacks of 2018. With Jackal making sustained attacks on the city, the CDA turn to Mercenary groups to defend their turf.

Please note that at the moment the changes will be mostly to the UI, and we don’t have any plans for faction-exclusive content at the moment. The game will still function as usual, since the factions pay for Mercenaries to do their dirty work. We are adding more backstory and flavor to enhance the overall game experience.

Jackal is just the first step. More animals shall be introduced. Hopefully.

Also the way Jordy couldn’t remember what country the next merc is from hints heavily away from Stoker as his accent is so distinctive.

Judging by how for the most part the destruction/stealing of many things in the game are voiced by the male announcer, I’m guessing he and the players on his side will be Jackal, on the other hand the female announcer and players might be the CDA.

i was wondering what the jackyl thing was about on twitch today i was so happy i got into the match with the dirty bomb team an guess what? it lasted 3 minutes an everyone got kicked from server ruined all the fun got so pissed i logged lol from game an twitch hope next update really fixes these bugs instead of introducing new content because with new content comes new bugs how about we squash one bug at a time before we let more in ? just my 2 cent :smiley:

It’ll probably be this : instead of “attacker vs defender”, it’s Jackal vs something else. And the faction you’d work for changes following the map.

I was checking Twitter and then I saw Dirty Bomb was gonna go live with an announcement so yeah, I was like ‘guess gonna stay late tonight’. The stream started, and the timer was set. The whole twitch livestream chat was a hype, everyone spammed and then the last 10 seconds came. Me: ‘TURTLE! STOKER!! THUNDER!!’.
But no, it was something more exciting. A single word. Jackal.

Fix 1 bug = create 5 new bugs.

Isn’t it how it normally goes?
It’s good to remember that a game without bugs doesn’t exist, but it’s totally different thing how harmful those bugs are.
Those game breaking bugs should be the priority on the bug fixing list.

And what comes about this Jackal thingy, sounds good already. B)
