But don’t worry, you’re sure to be ultrabanned for leaving a match
FACEIT first impression
Yyou REALLY need to be able to choose alt loadouts for the available sub mercs. Some of the default loadouts are garbage.
Tried first match and the whole round my ping was over 200 constant. where faceit servers are held no idea nor it states clearly. also getting into match needs to be quicker, too much time is consumed cherry picking mercs etc. I know its to allow for better match making/balance but still takes too long imo!
May be a silly question but did you join the right hub? There’s two, one for NA and one for EU, if you queue on that hub then you get placed in servers in that region.
Managed to get 4 matches in yesterday when I stopped back home. All things considered, I’m impressed and happy with it. I was worried about the functionality of it and it exceeded expectations. I noticed no bugs, disconnects, or problems with the UI. It was fairly active in the afternoon and I didn’t have to wait longer than 2 minutes to get a match. I lIke the vote system on maps and Merc bans, plus being able to sub in 2 extra Mercs is neat. No stacking is also great and team composition was much better as a result. Matches were balanced well and I ended up 3-1.
As others have said, I would like to see the sub Mercs with something other than default loadouts or a change to the defaults themselves. I think a good solution would be to allow the host to select from his inventory of loadouts for the sub or for it to have all loadouts in a Bronze rarity. I had my doubts about this working out, but now all I hope is that it’s here to stay. No issues with it requiring a FaceIT login to play Ranked. Serious competitive teams and friends usually manage their stuff outside of the game anyway.
This is cool. I like it. I believe it can work and last with some minor tweaks. Don’t piss in my Cheerios and ruin it one day.
I initially was confused on how it would work, but I actually enjoy it now that I know what I’m doing.
Overall I liked the 1.0 update, though I’m hoping for a full-size event a la Rogue en Vogue some time soon.
The matchmaking system is still bad I think somehow, or yeah, needs some attention, since there are always players who has more experience than others and has played in similar matchmakings earlier and you notice, if they don’t recognize your nick, they’re more likely to be hostile to you and especially if you’re at the bottom score, even if K/D doesn’t count really and if you play normally, like you know how to play, it doesn’t matter, I’ve seen these kind of players often in FACEIT rounds and they’re boring, perhaps matchmake could be more like categorizing them into levels obviously, both from DB old client and FACEIT and also their gaming hours and XP etc and somehow we can get rid of beefs occuring in-game, I’ve gotten all kind of shit on me, don’t report it at all, since yeah, why, but I noticed now that they can be dirty, reporting pieces of chat and leave out what they said.
Apparently whining fellas can get easily banned someone for reporting and acting all innocent, no idea if I was caught by the FACEIT bansystem, since no names is mentioned on the ban. But checking the entire chat before making decisions is a good idea and if a player never has been banned before, perhaps issue a warning at first and a reminder, in this case you seemed to put it all on me, when he started it all.
I know how to play and I am not intentionally a team-killer nor camper nor quitting or starting a beef with someone over kills, so I think I react normally to the given situation, sure I can accept a ban for griefing, but that guy should be banned too (no idea if such were issued), since he/ she started it all, telling me things, see below and I obviously replied on it.
One guy (the reporting player?) told me that I should join public servers instead of playing at FACEIT and talked to me like I didn’t belong there and that I should learn the basics, he died in-game and had to blame it on someone and it was me apparently and said that I wasn’t pushing enough, how could I do that if I was dead and also I wasn’t camping or anything like that I WAS PLAYING normally.
So I obviously replied back and got a message later on, either he reported in-game or submitted a ticket, no idea, but got banned over ‘Griefing’ sure, we had a quarrel but it also stopped, just few sentences then we agreed to not talk to each other, BUT he started to be mean, so admins can check the whole chat how it begun, I hope he got also banned, because he was the one started it all or else it is a very disappointing system.
