I know this has been discussed, but I think it is worth revisiting as we get closer to the official release. It is all important that Dirtybomb makes the best first impression possible, and servers filled with 4x Naders or Proxies or even Skyhammers will not create that impression. Having many multiples of a merc in a game exaggerates new players’ sense of imbalance and tends to create an obnoxious experience overall. If the official release is a success, there will be countless lobbies where all 12 players are drawn from the same 5 or 6 Mercs. That is not putting your best foot forward.
This problem could be largely avoided by individualizing the F2P rotation. Everyone gets 3 random Mercs unlocked, could be more sophisticated if you want.
Do not allow a situation where half the people who give this game a shot end up in a lobby with 7 Fraggers or Phantoms or Vasillis. That would be virtual malpractice.
