On second thought, for some reason I didn’t connect the dots: Lower bodyshot damage essentially also means lower headshot damage. So I guess hitting headshots now means slightly lower TTK than before, whilst hitting bodyshots means slightly higher TTK than before. Smaller difference than I imagined at first.

Personally I’d prefer a per-weapon headshot modifier instead of a global headshot modifier. That would help differentiate mercs and give SD more in-depth control over balance.

yeah im not too happy about this. you’re continuing to dumb the game down even further. whitechapel is completely ruined now, and the removal of any defensible positions in the last phase is just silly. The obj run in the church was one of the few fun phases of that map to begin with.

the body shot dmg reduction is insane. its to the point now that if you dont get headshots, dont bother shooting because u wont get a frag. do one or the other, not both.

picking 3 mercs to go into battle with? really? so now i cant even pick classes based on whats happening in the map? i play 4 classes, so it isnt a big issue for me personally, but i foresee that being a huge in game issue.

Yep its back to instagib :frowning: Sniper heaven and hell for anyone else (played both ways round to test - 8/18 with Stoker & 8-1 with Phantom). Whitechapel was pretty bad without the white chapel :). Phantom’s cloak is even more useless as it lasts for 2 secs even when not moving :(.

And gun play is still really weird ! hip fire still got a lot of spread, and I think there is something strange with the head hitbox, feels a bit over the head.

white chapel feels even more linear , now this is only a long corridor …

If you would read the change log you wouldnt be surprised why there are only 3 mercs avi :wink:
Oh and GTA 5 has also 3 Mercs and its an epic game :tongue:

really trying to get past my initial feelings, but… this is awful… legit takes 5 headshots to kill as a medic, while it takes 2 and a few bodyshots for fops. there is now no reason at all to multiclass

seriously, for the first time ever, i have no desire to play at all and it makes me sad in my pants

first .i thunk gunplay isnt that worse. but with the unpredictable recoil its on med distances very luck heavy

i am speakless about whitechapel
lets fix whitechapel .no fun to do real work in it. hey lets remove all other stuff and let it be an tank escort mission.(to be fair the map feels better now,but its an pointless map now).i agree with remove the last part,but this is too much.

the merc thing :i sayd it at begin of alpha and now again.dont do the same mistake again.
one of the Main critic points of brink was that you couldnt switch your char atleast between maps .
i rly still ask myself which “genius” have always this “great” ideas,how to let a game completly unplayable for esport!
maybe you have a spy in your company of a other big company who trys to sabotage you!

should be access to all characters in limbo! no less cuz from my point of view for comp tacticst in every map i can play with 3 different fops or other classes, with all chars open every clan have the flexibility with tactics.

for ppl who crying about fops most played in public,pls go some ET public 80% of them medics 15% fops and 5% of rest classes, some classes easier to frag with. in comp you need all classes and chars anyway

Trying to enjoy :slight_smile: But i seem to have network problems. I assume my client regularly drops packets, or they are dropped on its way somewhere in the internetz.

Also: i sometimes randomly start to lag since a few patches. This sometimes gets so hard that even typed chat messages never arrive the server. Definetely something wrong.

Also: the server sometimes changes my origin. I notice that when i walk and the server regularly warps me back a few inches. A sideeffect of the weird lag.

Also: sometimes i shoot at someone, run back at some corner to reload, and then he dies. Also a sideffect of lag. He dies about half to one second later.

Unfortunately i know of no method to investigate this more. Also i am just making a short brake on windows with gaming until i switch back to linux, so i will not be available the next weeks.

Otherwise: hitsounds are really cool btw :slight_smile:

Maybe some more sound feedback: i feel the weapon sounds are too realistic. It would fit better if a bit of the echo is reduced and they sounded a bit more unrealistic. No clue how to achieve that though.

yeah, removing Whitechapel’s second object is an awful desision.

I was horrified at first, but then figured it was just the final objective, not the chapel.

Because you can’t have a map called Whitechapel and not actually use the chapel!

Then my excitement over the other changes took over and I put it to the back of my mind.

No dude, it’s literally just the EV. No carriable objective at all.

well its still the best building on the map. :slight_smile:
you could also name it elevator or lift but white chapel sounds cooler for me.
