Just curious. Does this only work on supplies or does it work on all of the mercs abilities?
EG Skyhammer with extra supplies. Does this give him a 20% cool down to his ammo packs only or both his ammo packs and air strike?

Only asking as I’ve never really paid much attention to it, but on the dirtybomb.gamepedia.com page basically all of the mercs with this perk say “Extra Supplies: 20% cool down reduction to abilities” which sounds misleading if it doesn’t work on all abilities.
Nope, only support abilities. It’s pretty pointless on fire support mercs, but on medics it’s awesome, I run a card with Extra Supplies for all of them except Sparks.
It kinda just makes me question why someone like Kira has it then. From memory 2 of her 3 BR-16 loadouts have Extra Supplies. Her support (ammo station) just sits on the ground. Why is it even needed? People can just take ammo whenever they want unlike Arty and Skyhammer. I know it can be blown up but the cool down time is already ridiculously short, and the chances of it being blown up instantly are pretty low, so there’s almost no such thing with her ammo station cool down.
Seems to me like a better perk would be allowing more bullets to be given out every time someone collects ammo from it or something.

Probably just a “filler” perk/augment, just like good ol Cool, and Fail Safe of course, because you need that because you will always just sit on your airstrikes/nades/mines etc…
Ammo is dished out so fast with ammo stations that it wouldn’t really make much of a difference I would say.

You nailed it.
I was literally never in a situation when I thought: “Wow, this cooldown rescued me.”
The idea of giving ammo faster is really neat, however SD mentioned they can’t change an augment because people payed for it.
So the only possibility would be to buff it…but is there anything really to buff?
I guess one can just pray for the second generation of loadout cards.
Can they alter the way the augment works for different mercs though? It just literally makes no sense on Kira at all. I mean they buff and nerf augments all the time, I don’t see why they couldnt do something for Kiras one.
Also re: in game, I’m pretty sure it might say support abilities too, but you could argue that fire support is a support ability haha. It’s a tad misleading. I could see why you would think that, but no xD.
Maybe they could increase the radius of the ammo stations with that perk?
Maybe they could increase the health on the ammo station, as it makes a good barricade? xD
Maybe it could give out small health packs to low hp teammates, or act as a tiny heartbeat sensor only if an enemy grabs ammo from your ammo station?
Maybe it could eat away at enemies reserve ammo if they come to resupply at your station?
Maybe you could plant 2 ammo stations down instead of one? Would be more interesting to see on aura though and would add an interesting dynamic. For instance, she can be twice as useless in the wrong hands xD.
Thing is with perks that are spread across multiple mercs, it would be hard to balance especially when there is crossover between two entirely different class types (Medic/Fire Support)
Just some ideas anyhow, some potentially very OP ideas if they were to be implemented, but its almost 3am, and I am drunk…sooooo yeah…

Somebody has never spent time blocking the elevator door on the first part of Underground defense. Those extra supplies can really save the day sometimes!!!

Easy. Make ammo stations give 2 magazines per ‘tick’ instead of 1 whenever an ally resupplies there. Enemies still get 1 mag.
